  • Excellent value, well made, easy to assemble.
Size: 32"Lx63"H
The media could not be loaded. I have a number ofraised beds in my garden and was excited to see this frame available at a very affordable price. I was a little surprised when it arrived in a small compact box with scores of pieces that needed to be assembled. I wasn’t sure that everything would fit together but a careful reading of the enclosed instructions made it very clear as to how to assemble it. All the main parts were in packets labelled with letters and the instructions identified which lettered part connected to which, assembling the basic frame took about twenty minutes. Once assembled the frame was fairly light in weight and easy to carry, however, there was a tendency for an occasional rod to come loose from its connector when not carefully moved. The instructions recommend building it in situ, rather than building it indoors like I did (there being three feet of snow outside). The frame itself was metal that was well coated with plastic, and the connectors were also plastic, so the whole thing should be fairly weatherproof and last for a long time, Once the frame is assembled a put in place the large ball of twine and spool of wire can be used to customize the frame to encourage climbing plants or vegetables to grow upwards. I am sure it will be an ideal frame for cucumbers and beans,. I thought the inclusion of a pair of gloves was a nice touch. I think the frame is a remarkable value for money and will certainly be put to full use in my garden, ... show more

  • Sharp Edges When Assembling; Hollow, Green Plastic-Coated Metal
Size: 48"Lx63"H
Plastic-Coated Cucumber Trellis for Raised Beds by Miory Review: I am so excited to use this trellis! I did grab it in a hurry, though, and was a little surprised that it is hollow metal coated in plastic. It seems much stronger and better made than that kind of thing usually is, though. I think the twisting of the metal helps with that. I think I could break it with arm strength if I tried, but I would hurt myself doing it. I would not try. I really like this. It's a large frame with thin, but non-biodegradable type netting provided to drape over it. The instructions say to push the feet into the ground 4 inches, but I may anchor it with large stakes. That way, I get that much more height and keep the feet on bits of dug-in broken concrete to fend off rust. It would probably be a good idea to glue it together somehow, but then you couldn't disassemble it if need be. The metal on the ends of mine is quite sharp (and shedding some sharp metal bits), so Be Careful! I imagine that's why they include the tough fingered gloves. Mine's intended for a berm I'm going to flatten, raise and fill in more with a new little wall around it. We're getting that winter storm here over the next few days, so I won't assemble it or work on the berm 'til it's passed. I've grown luffa there somewhat successfully and intend to try again with this. Beans, Everglades tomatoes and Tatuma (if I can find some seeds) would be great on there, too, with some mustard greens and, maybe later, Okinawan spinach beneath. I'll include a couple of photos. ... show more

  • just as listing describes / expected / nothing missing / loses height during installation
Size: 48 x 48 Inch
Trellis is as described. Fairly common product type and style, seems to be in line with many others on the market as far as materials and connectors and such. Comes with all the accessories you need as far as tie-wire, netting, connectors, and a pair of gloves which aren’t needed for assembly. Size is a FULL 4ft - I have a 4x2x1.3ft raised bed and I need to bend the outer legs in just a little for this to fit within it. Setup takes a little while and I suspect it’s best saved to complete until you’re ready to install it. I think the netting needs to be staked into the soil (no stakes provided) to hold and it’s difficult to predict correct positioning without one of the sides secured at the bottom first. But, I suspect once I have that it will work just fine, I’m just not ready for full installation at this time. They say the legs should be buried 8-14 inches (!) but even then I might add a couple stakes to keep it secure during install. The bottom “rung” is about 16in from the floor, so after burying the legs a foot you’ll end up with about 38 vertical inches by 48 horizontal. The securement wire / dispenser is kinda slick because you can store it on one of the top hooks this has to keep it handy. There’s also several plant-stem-affixer things included. Not the best full price value, but a good product I suspect you’ll be happy with. I have not tried any other trellises of this style - I’ve always made my own from wood but even at the full price point I’d spend more making my own so this is a good deal for me. I’m planning on running peas up mine in the early spring and putting my basil and rosemary down below along the center to take over once peas are done and gone. The trellis seems sturdy enough, especially once in the dirt, I would expect this to last a few seasons IF UV light doesn't make the top clips fall apart after a single one. I think using for peas and storing this will last a few years, putting tomatoes on it and leaving it out all year? I have my doubts if it would go more than one just based on how most other things seem to work in the garden. ... show more

  • Well made, reasonably priced plant trellis
Size: 48 x 48 Inch
My mom loves to garden so I thought I'd be a good son and order her up this plant trellis. It's made for climbing plants and specifically vegetables like cucumbers and tomatoes. The tubes that support the structure aren't particularly thick or heavy but they feel nice and sturdy. Comes with everything you need including; the frame, stakes, connectors, netting, tie wire and even gloves. Easy set up and my mom is already planning what she'll plant this spring. Recommended! ... show more
