This kite is perfect for my son - he thinks it looks so cool, and it flies great. Materials are durable. The only reason for a 4-star is we had to use electrical tape to connect the two size rods as the pieces only sit together, they don’t clip together. We had issue with them slipping apart. However, a few pieces of tape is a pretty easy fix, and now it’s sturdy. My kids have spent an hour on two separate days flying this at the park across the street - old fashioned fun :) ... show more

First of all, this thing is not just for kids. It was difficult to hand it over my nephew once the kite soared high. I gifted it to my 6 year old nephew on his birthday few weeks ago. It was an outdoor birthday party at a community park. He instantly liked it and played for hours after the party. About the product, the kids love Airplane and this kite looks awesome in the blue sky. Unlike the Dragon or a butterfly, this Airplane kite has a perfect birdlike shape that helps to get a lift faster. It floats perfectly. The instructions was easy to follow, but it was not detailed enough. The rods to the kite was also not measured right. I couldn't get the rods to fit , making it hard to assemble.
