  • Light Kit Has Been Discontinued!
Color: Brushed Nickel
Here is a very important point to consider BEFORE buying this fan. The LED is a sealed unit which is unique to this fan. If it craps out, the whole unit will have to be replaced. Since I just bought it, I decided to check into the cost of a replacement, should it die after this fan model is discontinued. The light kit (Part Number 6F1000LK01) has been discontinued! When it WAS available, the cost was $96! That is approximately half the cost of the fan! I included photos to better illustrate the light configuration. In addition, the light projects more like a spot light rather than a flood. This is not good for a large room, for which this fan is recommended. Other than that issue, the fan appears to be of decent quality and went up as easily as any other fan I've ever installed. I'll just keep my fingers crossed that the light holds up. ... show more

  • BOOYAH
Color: Brushed Nickel
I'm an electrician. Don't cheap out on your fixtures. This thing will blow the covers off your wife and the LED light kit is bad*ss! Quiet as hell, smooth as hell, looks awesome. Minka makes the best fans for the money (only the extremely well off would spend 1200 bucks on a fan/light... I'm just sayin'... But minka has those too). ... show more

  • Moves less air than comparable fans. Loudest fan I've ever installed. Give this one a pass.
Color: Brushed Nickel
Tried out this fan to get one with a remote instead of having to use wall switches (bedroom). Install went smoothly (if one is familiar with Harbor Breeze fans these are pretty much identical in mounting hardware). Noted the blade surface area is smaller than comparable fans - suspicion confirmed when the installed fan creates noticeably less breeze for a given speed level. Overall the fan is very cheaply made but stylish - looks the part once up. The remote worked well and I can see why people prefer remote controlled fans! Color temperature of the LED pack splits the difference between warm (2700k) and daylight - as others have noted it would not be suitable as the only light source in a room. The show-stopper: a high frequency hum that is present whenever the fan is running. A 24 hour burn in was tried to no avail. It sounds like it is either from the motor or the electronics. Interestingly it does not change pitch with motor speed which makes me suspect the latter. ... show more

  • Looks nice but poorly made fan. Very Noisy.
Color: Brushed Nickel
Looks good but geez is the thing noisy. I either gotta shift the glass light or reposition to get it quiet then 2 days later its noisy again. I've balanced it so that's not the issue. It was installed correctly so that is not issue either. Just seems like a fan that wasn't very well built. About ready to take it down and get another brand. Its not even a year old yet...exhausting and its in my bedroom unfortunately. ... show more

  • NO 3.5” rod included. Description wrong.
Color: Brushed Nickel
The product itself is great. We have this fan in three rooms when we bought our house so bought two more for bedrooms. The description states there is a 3.5” and 6” downrod included. Both boxes only had a 6”. This must be a newer change in packaging because older reviews and questions address this and state a 3.5” is also included. This wouldn’t have been such a big deal except that I didn’t have the correct size downrod when installers were ready to put the fans up which causes extra cost for me, time spent, and a delayed install. :( Being 7 months pregnant I cannot install the fans by myself and will need to arrange the help again once I buy 3.5” downrods. ... show more

  • I love this fan
Color: Brushed Nickel
I love this fan. I bought three of them. The assembly and mounting process was not difficult. The LED is nice and bright. These things quietly move a ton of air and are rock solid - no wobbles or vibration on any of them. We have standard 8 ft ceilings. I used the shortest mounting rod and YES YOU CAN use the motor cover when using the shortest mounting rod even though the manual says you can not. The only issue is that it is slightly more difficult to lift the motor cover up in order to access the rotation direction switch but YOU CAN do it. This isn't an issue at all since I prefer to leave ceiling fans drawing cool air up - rotating counter clockwise - all the time. The remote is handy and it wasn't hard to set all three up on different frequencies, but it does take a very uncommon battery size. That's probably the only negative thing I can say about this light. I absolutely LOVE the style of this light. I kept the boxes these came in and the old light fixtures that these Minka's replaced because the next time I move, these fans are coming with me. ... show more

  • Love this Lamp
Color: Brushed Nickel
This is a very lovely light fixture. Ease of installation, I'm told a 6 of 10, 10 being very difficult. But it appeared to me to be more like a 3....it went up pretty quick. The instructions tell you if you want the shortest extension rod, you shouldn't use the to cover, which we first tried. This, of course, left the mechanics above the fan exposed to dust and me. Didn't like that at all as it destroyed the sleek look of this fixture, you see the switch to change the direction of the lamp is underneath that top cover, so you have to lift the cover to change the direction switch, which to me is cumbersome and should have been on the remote control, not on the lamp (under the cover). Also, it looked great very short, except for the exposed wires and such...which looked really bad. So, we had to take it down and reinstall. It WAS very nice looking close to the ceiling, made the room bigger....but that exposed mechanics looked stupid....so I would say this is a serious aesthetic design flaw. So, with the longer extension rod, it looks great (i.e. like the picture). The LED light is very bright at its brightest, but not sure if I like the light quality yet, sorta cold white light and blinding if you are looking at it to set its dimness. It does look great now and you cannot hear it AT ALL! a 5 star rating would have been if I could have installed it closer to the ceiling without losing aesthetic and/or functionality. ... show more
