    • Just a toy
It is capable of playing tunes, but it sounds very plastic. The reed is incredibly hard. It was very difficult for me to even get a note (I’m rusty, but used to play reed instruments a couple years ago). Anyone without reed instrument experience won’t be able to play this at all.

I will not call this a pocket saxophone. I have an Alto Sax, and this isn't remotely comparable, save the reed mouthpiece. To be clear, I'm not a musician. I played Alt Sax in high school (a lifetime ago), and a guilty pleasure of mine is picking up my old recorder and toying with simplistic melodies. So I saw this and thought it could be fun. It is! It does require knowledge playing woodwind instruments, so you shouldn't expect to pick this up and just start playing if you've never played woodwinds before.
