The surface is made of smooth plastic material, and the touch feels great. It's very easy to operate, with just a few buttons, and the functions are clear at a glance. The sound is much smaller than I imagined. The old hair removal device used to be like a small tractor, buzzing and making a lot of noise when turned on, which annoyed people. The sliding is very smooth, like gently gliding over the face, with almost no obvious pain.
