I LIKE THIS DRILL PRESS. It is versatile but lacking in some of the finer qualities of the larger, more expensive drill presses out there. The power supply that comes with this press is adequate but there is an easy fix to improve upon its power limitation.

    • If it doesn't work at first try, try again.
The unit came with the motor not working. I had to hand turn it and spray it with electronic cleaner for it to start to work. I works reasonably well now.

;A bit like my big drill press, but fits on my bench. Easier to use than a handheld multi-tool, and you get perpendicular holes. Jewelry making, circuit boards, just the right size. It will pay for itself by not snapping solid carbide bits, which do not tolerate side pressure from a hand held tool. Kind of looks like something from a DIY project or kit, as opposed to something manufactured in quantity. Maybe could use a drive belt guard. I love this tiny little drill press and how portable it is! It comes with what looks like a laptop power supply, with variable speed settings on it. The chuck fits up to a 1/2 drill bit, it is very strong for it's tiny size. I brought this into my house to drill some wood moldings I needed drilled, it was so nice to bring the drill press to the place it's needed, not have to bring the trim to the garage any longer! I have drilled wood, metal, plastic and it handles it all like a dream. I have drilled up to 1/4" steel and though it took a little more effort, the drill press was able to power right through and make precision holes for me. I LOVE THIS THING!!! ... show more
