Heats up really fast so you don't have to wait. A lot works great on all kinds of plastic. Except for the really thin ones. Great to use on potato chip bags.

The sealer is sometimes quick to heat (1 minute) and other times requires more time (5 minutes or more). It has always been used with the same outlet. This wouldn’t be a huge problem except that not knowing when it is heated (no indicator) it can get hot enough to melt the package I am trying to seal. In addition, the on/off switch is inside next to the heating element, making it a burn hazard while trying to shut it off. Generally I just unplug it. I can’t recommend the product.
