This chip bag sealer does work — it fuses bags together so they stay fresh. That said, it takes much longer to heat up than the instructions suggest. It says it should be ready in 30–60 seconds, but in my experience, it takes about 3–4 minutes before it’s hot enough to seal a bag properly. Once it’s heated, it’s easy to use and seals reliably, but the wait time is longer than I expected. I’m keeping it because it does the job, but just be aware it’s slower than advertised.

It makes complete sense to have an item that creates multiple Seals versus just using a flat iron, which was my initial plan. I'm glad I got this instead because it allows multiple stops for contents to escape. Follow the directions for best results, also don't touch the area you sealed for about a minute or two until it's cooled off otherwise you could negatively affect the seal. I did this so I know. Oops. But that was completely my fault. Highly recommend this product, its easy to use and comes with a handy case. I'm sure I'll get a lot of use out of it for all of my projects.

The media could not be loaded. This is such a genius, nifty little gadget. My favourite kitchen Hager for sure. Have had it at least 4 years now. Gets used everyday. Now I don’t buy the clips anymore. I take it on my travels as well. Every thing gets sealed up, as no air gets in. As good as factory sealed :) Just be careful for thin plastic. If it’s too hot, it won’t seal but melt. That kind of flimsy packaging is 1 in 100. But if it cools off a little it can seal those up too. The cashews in the pic are of that thin plastic, still successfully sealed.

Super cheap. heat level was too high and melted the bag sealer itself! first time use just melted itself. Size was too small way smaller than advertised. im sure it'd break if we'd have used it more than 1 time. Functioned horrible. DO NOT BUY!
