I’ve used this jacket for the last couple of months before posting a review. I ride on the average of 2 to 3 times a week. I did wait on buying this jacket due to the overall cost and the fact that I live in Florida, and the weather is generally hot and humid most of the year. The jacket is definitely of thick and quality material. It has button snaps in addition to the zipper up front. I also like that it has zippers on the wrist so you can introduce air flow into the jacket on hot days. The zippers on the under arms are worthless unless you have ape hangers or your arms or lift up. The armor on the shoulders, and the elbows are an added safety benefit, and although it does have a pocket for a back protector, you would think for the price of this item that would be included. So if you want a back protector, consider that in your purchase. A lot of the Florida back roads have a lot of flying bugs and this definitely helps when you get to the other end because your shirt you are wearing underneath is not full of bugs haha. The pew pew pockets are far from quickly accessible if that matters to you. I am satisfied with the amount of pockets because it’s way more comfortable carrying items in the jacket versus your pants pockets. I did go one size up and it ended up that that was an excellent choice in my case. If you have a long body in comparison to most, I would seriously pay attention to the measurements. Overall, I am satisfied with my purchase, but I will have to utilize another jacket in the summer in Florida, and wish this had a removable liner so I wouldn’t have to have multiple jackets/riding shirts. But again that’s due to the local weather. I would not suggest this jacket to anyone that rides in over 70° weather as I’ve tried to just button the bottom two snaps and zip it in that area overall it’s still too hot even with it open on the top and the wind blowing in. Due to the sturdiness of the material, this is probably one of those jackets that you’ll have forever but again, I think it’s definitely over priced regardless. **corrected talk to text errors **

I ordered a 3XL as the 2XL I had received a couple weeks ago was a little snug in the forearms (but good everywhere else. (I'm not a big guy and an XL would probably be fine but I don't like the sleeves being too snug.) Anyways the 3XL arrived during lunch so I washed my hands, cut open the box and gave the jacket an admiring glance. And despite the 38 (Celsius - 100 F) temperature I tried the jacket on. It instantly became my favourite riding jacket. The arms are a big bigger and the jacket is a bit looser which will be fine if I'm wearing more than just a t-shirt underneath it. Just realized that each of the "hidden" gun pockets actually has 2 "stretchy" loops inside - one to hold your pistol and one to hold a spare magazine. Button and zipper front closure. Snap cuffs with zippered "expansion" for thick wrists or handcuffs. Has the standard "pocket" in the upper-back (inside) where the optional "Spine Pad" can be inserted ($22 on Amazon) as well as the "tie down loop" to attach the back of the jacket to your pants (useful when riding around cold places like your ex-wife's yard). As the jacket is a little big for me (everywhere except the arms) I have to give the "armoured pads" a bit of a jiggle to get them where they should be. No big deal. Tried out one of the elbow pads on my wooden work bench. Quickly realized my elbow would break long before the bench would but the pad kept me from hurting myself. My only suggestion would be to have a "hand pocket" on each side. You know, a pocket to warm your hands in or keep spare parts, extra shotgun shells, snot-rags and court summons in. I normally wear a heavy leather "biker" jacket (with all the pockets and zippers) and it is heavy. This jacket is a little lighter but not much so I only gave it 3 stars in the "Lightweight" category. I wasn't expecting it to very light anyways. This is hilarious. I bought 2 of these and had them shipped to Thailand no problem at all. But when I look at the "back armor pad" - it says none available - until I change my mailing address to a US based address. What's even more hilarious you say ? The item description says "Made in Pakistan" but the jackets were shipped from Chicago - with a CHINESE courier company ! But the look, feel and quality are all top-notch and if for some weird reason I ever need to order another jacket I wouldn't hesitate to order another one of these. In the photo I tried to show the inner (right) pocket that can be used for a phone/headphones/powerbank/whatever. You can see the snap/zipper closure on the wrist and you might be able to make out the stretchy loops from one of the "gun pockets". Which are frikken huge ! You could stick a Mac 10 in each side ! Oh right - almost forgot about my now cold lunch. Oh well, that's what microwaves are made for !

When the package was delivery (in a plastic bag) the 1st thing I noticed was the weight. Very Heavy. Opened the package and we were very impressed. Riding shirts can be difficult to pick out and purchase because there are so many of them with different features. My son said when he held the package "this is heavy, it's not a summer shirt". But when he put it on he said "hey, this isn't that heavy, the liner is light, it feels great and I might be able to wear it on warm days for the protection". This is a quality shirt that you see and feel is going to protect you if something happens and it's at a Great price. The included pads are not thin and flimsy. MY son bought me another brand from a retailer in town at double the price and half the quality. Size is true, he's a large and the large fits (sleeves are a little long but he used the 2nd button on the sleeve to keep it from going over his wrist) Color Grey is very nice. Quality shirt with protection and a quality price. Highly recommended.

Worn this in 50 degree weather and 88 degree weather. It's a great riding shirt with plenty of pockets, left or right options for concealed carry if you have the need and feels great. The protective padding in the elbows and shoulders is barley noticeable. This is certainly a "cooler" option than a leather jacket however It is a little on the heavy side to be wearing when the temps approach 90 degrees. The interior lining seems to prevent good airflow while riding so the extra storage space and pockets are a trade off. I wouldn't mind seeing a version of this without the lining and simple pockets to hold the armor. if this breathed better and came with the spine protection I could easily give it a 5 star but it's good enough for a 4. There are some who will wear this in hot weather but as the temps climb to 90 you'll want to throw this in your saddle bag and ride without it.

Amazing quality! Very happy with this purchase! Price was fair, sizing was accurate and it fits comfortably. The armored inserts are not too bulky and feel very natural in the shirt. There is even a slot on the back to add another piece of protection. The buttons and zipper feel like great quality and I appreciate the weight of the whole jacket. It isn’t too bulky or heavy. It can be warm if you need it to be or opened up for the summer months. I especially like the under arm zippers to get airflow to the pits! Plus the gun pockets have retention bands in the so your pistols aren’t just flopping around. There is also a rear belt attachment to stop it from riding up or flapping too much. Very impressed and will definitely buy from this company again. For once, a company was affordable and has high quality products. If you are on the fence, they are worth the shot.

So far so good. This seems like a very well made jacket. This is not a light weight jacket and it's a bit scary to put it on in the California summer heat to go take a ride in. It has several zippers under the arms and in the sleeves for ventilation. It also has a heavy duty zipper and snaps on the front. I chose to use the snaps on my first ride and leave the zipper unzipped to let more air in the front. On my first ride (85 degree weather, 29C) I was pleasantly surprised how well ventilated the jacked was. I was comfortable riding and could feel the air coming in through the arms/sleeves. The padding is CE level 2. It did not come with back protection but does have a fishnet type pouch to insert a pad. I bought a $15 CE level 1 pad from Amazon and with a little trimming with a scissors, trimmed about an inch off and it fit fine. I never felt the weight of the jacket while riding, it seemed like a normal evening jacket. I am very happy with the purchase.

Good fit for a guy with long arms. I need ‘Tall’ or extra length for my arms, and this XL does the job reading the my gloves for coverage. It’s a good heavy denim type shell that isn’t overly warm on summer days, but I’m in Mew England, and it may be too much for warmer regions. For fall it will be great. I had a warranty issue with the first, a button pulled through, and it was a seamless and appreciated exchange. I just bought it, so miles are limited, but so far it’s well worth the money.
