The Milwaukee M12 FUEL 3/8” Extended Reach Ratchet has quickly become one of my favorite tools in the toolbox. The extended-reach design makes a huge difference when working in tight or difficult-to-access areas where a standard ratchet simply isn’t practical. For automotive work especially, being able to reach fasteners without having to remove additional components can save a significant amount of time and frustration. The compact M12 platform gives this ratchet a great balance between size and capability. It is small enough to maneuver around confined spaces while still providing enough power to make removing and installing fasteners much easier than doing everything by hand. The extended neck is particularly useful for reaching recessed bolts and fasteners that would otherwise require a long extension and potentially more awkward positioning. The 3/8” drive is also a great choice for general automotive and mechanical work. It covers a wide range of common fasteners without making the tool unnecessarily bulky. The ratcheting action feels smooth and precise, which is important when you’re working in an area where you don’t have much room to move your hand. One of the biggest advantages is the amount of time this tool can save. Once a fastener is broken loose, being able to use the ratchet’s motor to run it out is much faster and easier than repeatedly turning a manual ratchet. I had my engine apart and back together in half the time without all the ratcheting and muscle cramps. It took longer to label everything then it did to remove it. The ONLY thing I would have done differently is swap the 3/8ths for a 1/4 inch. All the pros said get the 1/4 inch long reach and the 3/8th impact but...no, I didn't listen. This is the deal, most engine covers and parts are torqued to inch lbs. and that's not very much. First, the 3/8th has a bigger head and second, it has enough power to break things ( ask me how I know). In retrospect, I would have been better off with the 1/4 inch extended reach and then do the final tightening with a small inch lb ratcheting torque wrench. Get the Milwaukee 3/8th impact for bigger bolts and lug nuts. The right tools make you faster, and with a good torque wrench far better. Buy once cry once, you will thank me later.

Been trying to get a battery powered ratchet for a while, this one seems like it will not dissapoint, the long neck (~4") and reduced head footprint allows for hard to reach nuts/bolts. Feels solid and well made, some quality assembly there even if it's not american made. New and came in its original packaging.

As with all Milwaukee stuff I purchased, this thing works out outstanding. If I had a criticism, I would say that I wish it had a little more torque. But being M2 and the small size it’s outstanding if the one I have broke today, I’d buy another one just like it.
