This is my first review ever on Amazon. I have co-spelt with my daughter since the beginning, not by choice but because that’s the only way she would sleep. At 4 months old she started sleeping in snuggle me, only waking 1-2 times to eat during night. At 6 months she was already getting too big for snuggle me. We decided to transition her into her crib and it did not go well. She is a side sleeper and the mattress was too firm to stay on her side. She would end up tossing all night long and keep waking herself up. I finally bought this (she is now 7 months) and it’s only been 2 nights but she has slept 8p-7a both nights with only waking once for her Paci and going right back to sleep!!! No night feedings and Hardly any tossing like she had been!! This thing is amazing!!!! No smell when I got it. Very soft but I put a mattress protector over it along with the crib sheet and it does not sink in, but still soft enough to make her nice and comfortable. The cover it comes with does not look completely waterproof so o just used mine I already have just in case. Best purchase I have ever made!!!

My daughter hated the crib bed we bought, would refuse to sleep in her crib and would scream to get out. First night we put this on and she fell asleep no problem no crying, it was as comfy as her bed in her pack and play she was using. The best money I’ve spent on a baby product - better than my doona stroller.

I did a lot of research on crib sized memory foam toppers before I decided to go with this one. My daughter has been out of her crib for a few months now, but I'm still using her crib mattress with her toddler bed. It seemed she wasn't very comfortable on her mattress anymore, so I thought I'd give this topper a try before looking into a new mattress. I felt the price was fair & cheaper than most, & I liked the fact that it has ventilated holes. I wondered about how well my daughter's crib sheets would fit over this topper, especially with her waterproof mattress pad cover. (I highly recommend that you use a waterproof mattress pad cover with this, even if your child is already potty trained like mine. Let's just say my daughter had a tummy virus a few weeks ago & that waterproof mattress pad SAVED this topper from certain death. *lol*) So far there is only one of her crib sheets that just won't stretch over the ends of the mattress, but the rest of her toddler/crib bedding & sheets are fine. I was also worried about this horrible "chemical smell" that others had reported smelling when they received their products. Mine did not have any odor, so that made me feel much better. There were instructions that came with the topper on how long to let it sit out to regain it's shape from being packed up for shipping. It recommended 24 hours, but mine only needed an hour or two. The topper is cut perfectly to fit my daughter's mattress & it is very comfortable!! We've had it almost a month now & couldn't be happier. My daughter still gets up out of bed a few times before she actually goes to sleep, but I feel as if she's getting better quality of sleep since having this topper. That's very comforting to me. I certainly was not expecting a miracle product on how to get her to stay in her bed; however, the times I do have to wake her up, she always asks to go back to "sleep time." I honestly can't find anything negative to say about this memory foam topper. I'm very pleased with my choice & my daughter seems pleased too. :o)

I am writing this review as my 8 month old nears the 2 hour mark of her nap. Since she was born, she has not slept for more than 30 to 40 minutes for each of her naps, and she wakes up every 2 hours throughout the night like clockwork. With pumping, putting her to bed, and trying everything to get her to sleep longer (naps) and through the night, I have barely slept for a total of 4 hours since my baby was born. We have tried everything, including white noise, sleep training (controlled crying, pick up/put down, etc.); swaddle, sleep sack, aromatherapy, formula, gripe water — you name it, we had tried it. I coincidentally came across this mattress topper while buying a crib and mattress (same brand as this mattress topper) for baby to sleep in at grandma’s house. That first night, she slept through for 6 hours — I actually woke up 2 hours into the night, confused as to why she hadn't cried out per her usual tossing and turning. I got more than 4 hours of sleep for the first time since she was born that first night we used this topper. The next day, she took her first nap on the topper and didnt wake up until 2 hours later — I was in such disbelief that I kept checking the baby monitor to make sure she was breathing. I was able to actually get stuff done in the house and had my first “down time” in 8 months. This is my first review on bunch of baby "stuff" that I've bought on Amazon since my baby has been born, because I actually now have the time to do so with the baby finally taking longer naps thanks to this topper. It has only been 2 days since we received this product and it has been worth every cent. I do agree with other users that it would be best to use this when the baby is able to roll on his/her own and/or sit up unassisted because of the SIDS risk. There was a slight chemical smell upon receiving this product, but we placed the topper against an open window and a few hours later, the smell was gone. I didn't care for the waterproof sheet that came with the topper, and used a different waterproof mattress pad (Tencel brand) and a baby sheet cover on top of that. The mattress by this same company is also great! Again, it is softer than the traditional (hard) infant crib mattresses, so I would be uncomfortable using this mattress unless the baby knew to roll on his/her own and/or sit up unassisted. But I think the mattress topper would work just fine on top of a traditional crib mattress as well.
