This over-the-door rack is perfect for my small kitchen. I live in a tiny apartment with my partner, so I need to be able to use every square inch of space I can find. This rack is just what I needed to get extra storage space for spices, pasta, and other non-perishables that I didn’t have room for in my kitchen cupboards. The only thing I’ll ding it for is on the sturdiness. The way it’s made, it bows out in the middle where the two pieces connect. So I bought some Command hooks to hold it in place.     • Holds a lot easy to assemble
This hung over my pantry door and was easy to assemble. I solved the problem of the unit moving around by simply using packing tape to tape it to the door. It doesn't look bad, was an easy fix and it works perfectly. That being said, there lots of room for all my spice jars, odds and ends that seem to just be in the way. I put all the cake and dessert decorations on the top shelf, out of the way, since I use those the least. I put nuts, granola bars, etc. on another shelf. As you can see, it is bowing a bit from the weight. Also there is nothing to secure the bottom to the door, so it does swing a bit. However, it is very useful and I have no regrets about buying it

Easy assembly. Not what I expected. Comes in 2 pieces. The bottom does fit not flush against the door . Used fasteners to connect bottom to top. Both pieces move when the door open/close. Used tape to try to hold it in place. Can't close door due to the bracket on top. Disappointed

We have now purchased 2 of these. We've had the first set for at least 5 years, and now have the second set on the opposite pantry door. As long as you screw them into the door, or wherever you hang these, they stay put. I like the shelf depth. As you can see, we've loaded them up. The only real drawback is that the sides have openings just big enough for small spice jars to slide out. Just put them in the center of the rack, and they'll stay put. ... show more

Great over the door storage. Fast delivery easy assembly and quite sturdy. It does slightly tap when I shut the door but I did not attach with the hardware provided, I know that would solve that problem but I'm very happy with this purchase and I do recommend it.

    • Only good for lightweight items
I bought this shelf to store all of my spices on my pantry door and open up some cabinet space. The installation was simple and I loaded it up with my spices. Afterwards I stepped back and noticed that something was off - the shelving unit was no longer straight and something was wrong. I looked up at the two hangers that go over the door and notice that the entire top bar of the shelving unit was bending from the weight of the spices. Note that the description says that this item can hold canned goods. Spices are much lighter than canned goods and yet the top bar was bent badly. I don't have giant glass jars of spices that are super heavy. I have the plastic store containers of 2-3oz. and approximately 1/4 of the spices are in glass 2-3oz containers but nothing more than that. I had to remove all of the spices and bend the bar back to its original shape. I currently have it filled with very light boxed food items, bread, and chips because that is about all it can hold without the top bar bending. Another thing to note is if you fill a shelf too full the shelving unit sits farther away from the pantry door making the unit not straight. I could not install the eight screws(optional install item) that they provided with the kit to secure the shelving unit because I have a hollow wood door for my pantry door. I also don't know how many people who would want to put holes into their door. This item is not serving its purpose as I had intended. I was so excited to try it out. I would not have bought this shelf had I known that it can hold such little weight. I am very dissatisfied with it. ... show more

    • This has freed up space in our food pantry.
Our food pantry was so full of stuff that I could not find things easily. Amazing what these hanging shelves did to open up the space. Now, I can put bulky items on the hanging baskets and free up the pantry shelves so that I can find things easily. I should have done this ten years ago. And it's not expensive. A Hint: when I first installed these shelves, they were moving back and forth and banging when I opened and closed the pantry door. Adding some small Command stick on clips on the shelving wires eliminated the movement and banging, a major improvement without drilling any holes. ... show more
