I've known Mikasa as high quality for decades and this flatware didn't disappoint. They are heavy, substantial pieces with a beautiful shine and texture on the hammered handles. To get this quality for about $10/place setting is sweet!

*UPDATE* - Mikasa reached back out to me and offered to replace the rusty items. Still not impressed with the silverware having rust on them so soon after purchasing, but at least they are making it right. 3/16/23 Received these on Feb 28th. Today is March 16. There is now rust on them. I know it isn't impossible for rust to happen on stainless steel, but it's rare. I contacted Mikasa, and they just told me to try to clean it off and basically said that rust happens. Seriously? That's it? Wow...I am very disappointed. ... show more

This hardware set was perfect for our household. There were two different offerings when we ordered this set. The “gleam” offering was shiny whereas the “Oliver” offering was more of a satin finish. We purchased the satin finish and it is absolutely perfect. The hammering looks natural and doesn’t feel strange when using. The hammering on the pieces doesn’t seem to be in any sort of pattern and aren’t raised enough where it feels strange in your hand. Each piece feels substantial in hand and conveys a sense of quality. We’ve only been using for one month but they have been through many dishwasher cycles with no problem.
