What a beautiful vase. It was packaged very well and even with the accurate dimensions and weight listed in the description, I was still surprised at just how large, heavy and substantial it is in person. It’s a good size to display on a large dining table or elsewhere. The weight is just under 5 lbs. 10 oz., though if I hadn't weighed it myself I'd have thought it was heavier than that. The weight coupled with the wide base give me confidence that it’s not likely to be knocked over accidentally. As other reviewers have mentioned, there are some important errors in the listing. The images and descriptions are correct, but the item titles and the boxes you click to select a ‘Style’ are all incorrect. Make sure to choose based on the images. The crystal glass is very thick and I don’t see any imperfections. The ridged pattern is very appealing to me, it has a timeless quality and doesn’t seem dated or too dainty. It looks current but not modern. I’m looking forward to displaying flowers from the garden in this pretty vase this spring and summer. I don’t know much about the value of items like this but the price seems very reasonable. It’d make a very nice gift too. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This vase is heavy but incredibly gorgeous!! I love the cut. When the sunlight hits it it just gleams and sparkles! It's high quality is clearly evident once you're holding it and looking at it. The crystal glass is flawless. There are so many different things you can put in this to enhance its beauty or just put fresh flowers and water in it. Either way it will look great. It's weight makes it much less likely to get knocked over or to break. The only downside which isn't a problem with the product but just a natural feature of the glass is that it is a fingerprint magnet. Every fingerprint or smudge will show up on it. Prior to taking the pics and video it was covered in smudges and fingerprints from me handling it but I simply took a dry microfiber cloth and wiped it down and it quickly restored its sparkling beauty. It's not a defect but just something you should be aware of. Another thing I will make note of is that when I ordered it you had a choice between the vase, the bowl, or the platter but when you clicked on the one that showed the vase in the photos the listing stated it was the bowl. I think the bowl stated it was the platter and the platter stated it was the vase. So I was a little worried that I would receive the wrong item. I wanted the vase but had to click on the one that said bowl for it to show the vase. So just to clear the confusion you should get the item shown in the photos and not what is stated in the listing. Hopefully this discrepancy is fixed soon. It would make a fantastic gift. In fact, I'm going to get another one to put flowers in as a gift for my mother in law for mother's day. It's very reasonably price for the quality and it's beauty. I think you'll be impressed and I highly recommend! ... show more

First things first, the product page is incorrectly mis-aligning names and pictures. I submitted a ticket in the hopes of getting it fix, but make sure to match the picture to what you want. The names are incorrect. I luckily got what I wanted - the Vase (named Footed Bowl). I currently have a monthly flower subscription, and I like having the bouquets arranged in something nice other than the standard $10 vase you can get as optional. This is gorgeous looking, and it feels like quality. It probably weighs about 15 lbs, so you would have to seriously run into it to knock it over. This Mikasa vase is heavy. I am serious, this is one solid, sturdy piece. I live in earthquake country and I would be terrified of this falling off of a high shelf. I appreciate the heft, however, because it means I can create more complex flower arrangements without worrying that a top-heavy bouquet will tip the whole thing over. It has a ridged design that can complement a variety of styles in home decor; the versatility is also applicable to what plants and flowers you wish to display. Or potpourri balls or whatever you want to show off in your vase - you do you, friend. As other reviewers have noted, pay close attention to the listing and order based on the photo, not the written description. The name of the vase is “footed bowl” and this can be confusing because there is a bowl available as well. (In fact, the bowl is what I was aiming for so I’m a little disappointed that the vase arrived instead.) Just look at the photos and confirm that what you see is what you want, and you’ll be fine. ... show more

This piece is classically beautiful and is made extremely well, which is what I would expect from Mikasa. I have tons of Mikasa pieces at home, because I really love this brand. My only warning would be to order based on the photo/picture of the advertisement. When I ordered none of the descriptors matched the photos. I went with the descriptor, rather than the photo -- and I was sent what was in the photo. For example, the photo of the tray was with the descriptor of 'vase'. So, I thought I was ordering a vase and got a tray. I'm happy with it though, so will keep it and I ultimately recommend, just wanted to give purchasers a 'heads up' on ordering until they fix the glitch. ... show more

Beautiful vase from a nice reputable brand, but they need the unpaid intern to fix the item descriptions to match the product photo. There shouldn't be this much confusion when trying to order what you want. I ordered the footed bowl and received the vase.

Normally I think of crystal as delicate, but this vase is quite heavy and sturdy while still elegant in appearance. I have no worries about this vase tipping over. Mikasa is a great brand, definitely would recommend. The style is described as “Footed Bowl” but it is indeed a vase and the dimensions listed are accurate. ... show more
