  • Best bag I ever bought.
Size: 45L Color: Black
Best purchase I’ve made in a while. Used this for the gym. I only used as a bookbag but I kept a basketball (size 7) and my sneakers (size 13) with no issue on space. A great weight but can get heavy if not packed correctly. With it doubling as a duffle bag, packing will take trial and error because when it goes from horizontal to vertical things change & now you have something constantly poking you in your back. It’s has pockets galore, to the point I’m still discovering pockets & slots I never noticed. I put the bag through the wringer, it survived snow , rain , a dog attack and no scuffs or scratches to boot. But the bag I recommend the biggest size or the one right below it and you’ll have all of your prayers answered. ... show more

  • Sturdy, high quality fabric and material, and exceptional customer service.
Size: 45L Color: Black
I debated purchasing the MIER Large Duffel Backpack for quite sometime. It was difficult to see if it was well-made and sturdy. When I received it, I'm glad I purchased it based on these two points. The first duffel backpack I purchased was coming apart at the seams. Customer service contacted me through this review, immediately, and offered to send a replacement. The company representative was very attentive and responsive to my questions and messages. A replacement was sent out swiftly. The turnaround time to send out the replacement was two days and the shipping speed was priority. 1. Company backs up their warranty and replacement program. 2. Exceptional customer service. 3. High quality fabric + material, and very sturdy. 4. It does not feel like a flimsy duffel backpack or bag that you purchase from a sporting goods store. 5. Able to fit a basketball, shoes, clothes, large water bottle, and accessories such as a foam roller in the 45L version. I recommend a larger size if you want more space. 6. Great duffel bag or backpack conversion design. Use the strap as a duffel bag, or use the twin straps like a backpack (three straps total). All straps are removable and easy to store away inside the bag. 7. Understated, subtle look. 8. No big brand name logo plastered all over the bag. 9. Minimalistic look. 10. Excellent value. I'm very picky about sports gym bags. This one ticks all the boxes. It is heavy duty, durable, and has a high quality feel. It is water resistant has the company claims. The minimalistic look without brand name logos being placed all over the bag is a huge plus. Mierlife does stand by their product. They do care. A customer service team member reached out to me first before I even thought about doing so. And they were able to send out a replacement, quickly. Very kind and professional. ... show more

  • Great bag..Smaller actual dimensions but still equals far more than 45L
Size: 45L Color: Gray
I purchased this 45L after questioning the actual measurements of the 60L and although I was right, it wasn't a bad thing. (I'll post a review on 60L later) So the number don't quite add up based on actual volume vs what's advertised, but that's in a good way. I filled the bag completely to test its true capacity since you can never be too sure. The listing states the 45L to be 23.25" X 13" X 13" and although it's significantly smaller in the maximum height, it's large in the length. Measuring strictly from the outside, it measured 25.25" x 13" x 11" and if you do the math, that equals to about 59L external and probably 58L internally. So clearly that's great, however keep in mind that if you are someone that is seeking to buy a 45L because you're concerned about the overall weight, this may be more of an issue for you. The quality is unquestionably great and if taken care of, it could probably last years. My only gripe about the 45L version is the shoulder straps, they feel like cardboard with almost zero padding and definitely lesser quality than the 60L version. I want to assume they cut corners thinking it needed less support than the 60L, but that would still be wrong considering that when full, this easily weighs 50lbs. It's a good price for the value you're getting. ... show more

  • Great large gym bag for basketball
Size: 45L Color: Black
Meir 60L black I've looked long and hard for a good basketball bag, so far this is the best I've found for my personal uses, I've used duffles found on Amazon, Nike Elite bags, and seen many others by friends in gyms including ones by Adidas, Under Armour, Point3, various Nike bags and many others. So far this is my favorite bag even though it is a little on the large size. If they made this in light grey, khaki, or light blue colors I would probably buy one of those versions. I know they make those colors in other bags of the same material. Pros/Likes: - I can fit 2 pairs of basketball shoes, basketball, clothes, tripod (for video taping), knee pads, ankle braces, extra athletic tape, contacts, locker lock, scissors for athletic tape, advil, ball pump, sometimes cones/floor markers/training equipment for my kids and their practices, case for glasses, etc... and there is still space for more stuff. - I like the second layer mesh zipper for the shoe section, this means I can leave the outer layer unzipped and the inner layer zipped for aeration and not worry anything will fall out. - The bag seems pretty durable. I've taken it to the gym and courts about 5-10 times now. - The bag can be slung like a duffle or carrie like a backpack. I like both options. Straps are removable either way. You can keep all on or just the ones you want. - I like that there are places to hook carabiners around the bag and on the straps. - I like the extra handles on the sides of the bag. Cons/Dislikes: - There isn't a water bottle pocket. I need to either put it in the bag or clip it to the outside with a carabiner. - There is an extra flap all the way around the main compartment. Some may like this for added durability and protection from the elements but for my uses it is a little bit of a hinderance. It just makes it harder to unzip the bag. I only use it for gym uses so the extra durability/protection isn't needed for me. - For some people this bag may be too big and hefty as a duffle. When I go to the basketball gym or regular gym I am always the person with the largest bag. I think if it was just 1-2 inches smaller in a couple dimensions it would be a better fit for me but as is I still like the bag better than the smaller 45L version. I actually bought both and returned the 45L because I couldn't fit 2 pairs of basketball shoes, a basketball, clothes, and tripod in the bag. So the 45L was just a hair too small and the 60L is more than big enough. A 50-55L probably would've been perfect for me. I'm 5'9" and this bag feels pretty large on me when carrying it either as a backpack or duffle. It's probably the largest backpack I own and I own a pretty large camera bag as well. I like bags. I likely have more than 10 different bags of various types for various uses. - I wish there were 2 medium inside zipper pockets, one of the 2 medium pockets is an easy access pocket closed by a small piece of velcro, since things can fall out of that I don't use it. I need 2 pockets because I would use one to stash my phone, wallet, earphones; and I would use the other to store my lock, contacts, scissors, advil, etc... The inside large mesh pocket works for my phone, wallet, and earphones but is too big and hard to fish around for loose items. And the outside zipper pocket is too flat, tight, and small for my phone. I'm afraid that my phone would get banged up when so tight on the outside pocket. I don't want my phone, and earbuds to be with my locker lock and scissors (small pair for cutting athletic tape). - Some times there is a medium sized zippered pocket on the opposite end of the duffle where the shoes are. This bag doesn't have a zippered pocket there and I think it would be useful for me. - I wish the inside of the bag wasn't black. A lot of stuff is black (ankle brace, knee pads, clothes, tape, etc...) so it makes it hard to see things inside the bag. Many of my bags have higher contrast inner liners, light grey, orange, etc... to make it easier to see the inner contents of the bag. ... show more

  • 9.5/10 review
Size: 60L Color: Gray
This backpack/duffel bag is incredible so far. I've had it for a few months now, using it mainly as a gym bag where I take all my work clothes and hygiene stuff, and it has no issues supporting that role. I've recently gone on a weekend trip where it did very well in overhead storage and moving throughout the airports I stopped at. It has 100% satisfied me in the ways I needed it to; however, after using i,t, I find myself saying "it would be nice if..." from time to time. I believe other users have reported that the pockets are not very practical. They get the job done but could use a lot of improvement for internal organization. I love that it's open concept and not sectioned off, but that flap pocket is not very useful since all the items get sloshed around if opened, and the velcro pocket is very, very basic. Not a complaint but a critique. The outside zip pocket and the inside zip pocket are used for stowing away stray items not being used or small items. The shoulder straps are pretty good and imo don't need much improvement there, but I can't help but wonder why no removal waist strap. When this pack is loaded it makes sense to have a waist strap. Especially the larger one, because RIP to your back after a while. To me, this could've been a VERY simple addition and could utilize the connection points that the shoulder straps use. I would love to see this at some point because for a "hiking" or "camping" bag this is 100% necessary. I will say that the handles on either side and the top and bottom are very good thought out and seem durable enough. All in all, I would buy another and would recommend it to someone, but I would like to see this improved upon or additional straps added for purchase. ... show more

  • 10/10. Perfect for weeklong trips. Overhead bin
Size: 45L Color: Black
im a travel blogger who’s against checking in luggage. I love this bag (45L). Tens across the board. I own the osprey stratos. It’s a 50L hiking backpack I’ve been using for 6 years. The osprey stratos is the perfect overhead bin traveling backpack. It developed a smell after hiking in Asia and I didn’t have time or energy to clean it and I also wanted a backpack that was more casual. Having this bag ship the next day was the easiest solution. My criteria for a new bag was that it was at least 40L, Could double as a duffle bag and a backpack, had side straps for compression . And was decent quality (good zippers and thick skin). This bag checks all the boxes And more. This bag has plenty of room for a weeklong trip or more depending on how and what you pack. Because I tightened the straps there was even more room than what I had packed. It easily stows in the overhead bin with room to spare. It’s also water resistant. That’s a plus. It’s lightweight on its own. Kinda stylish as well. I’m happy and thankful for this purchase. For this price point ($50) I don’t think there’s much out there that beats this. But if I could perfect it, I’d like for the backpack straps to be more padded. They’re a little thin. I would like at least one more pocket on the top lid for convenience. But that’s just me being extra. This bag is fantastic. I’m about to buy 4 more for my family. ... show more

Size: 90L Color: Black
I will say that as I was using it, I noticed that the straps do not curve inward away from the shoulders and this created a lot of discomfort for me. The straps do curve, but at the wrong end, maybe. Great brand, great bag, but I am small in stature and the straps are made to be very durable, however they are also made for a larger person. This bag can take a lot of weight with no problem. I filled it to the brim with clothes but I have no doubt it can take heavier objects, anything you need in the field will be fine. The walls are sturdy and not easy to tear, the storage is ample, true 90 liters, the pockets are easy to get into, and the positioning prevents things from getting loose and falling out. Zippers are sturdy and plastic and metal, the zipper line is plastic, the zipper catch is metal with smooth zipping. Very secure bag. I recommend this for camping and other ventures, def good for hunting. Waterproof as I tried it out in full rain, everything kept perfecly dry. This is built to last, no flimsy seams, no sloppy sewing in the seams. I will defnitely be buying this brand again. Actually, I already did, just got the smaller version of this bag, as the 90 liters was a mistake for my weight capacity. This is a very no nonsense unit very thoughtfully put together. ... show more

  • Pretty well priced for the quality, except..
Size: 45L Color: Dark Green
So far so good. Was asked to review these 2 bags I bought. ( 1 45L and 1 60L). Bare with me as I have to retrain my spell checker and can't shut it off, cuz Google says so. I have barely had had these for a few days, so my opinion and review will change after a few weeks. Overall first impressions. 1. Smaller than imagined, but that's on me. No matter what I do, I always translate liters to gallons in my head instead of quarts. 2. The bag itself seems sturdily built. Reinforced seams, and mount points for straps amd such. Tough plastic bottom that is still flexible. The "fabric" for both the upper and lower portions seems like it could shed water for days. Don't yet know about the seams or zippers tho. 3. As others have mentioned before me. I wished that there was a way to either remove or tuck away the shoulder straps for "backpack mode". ( They do unclasp from the "bottom" of the bag, but this adds another issue ill go over next.) This is costing a star no matter what, as they can get in the way of using the zipper ON THE MAIN COMPARTMENT. Since the main compartment is this bags reason for being and it's primary function, then why were the Non Rrmovable straps placed there of all places??!?! 4. Shoulder strap seems made well enough, double stitched and of a high quality fabric. With a movable shoulder pad like you'd expect. However, ( as alluded to above) the flaw i immediately see is the all plastic triangle connectors on the bag and straps. There's a metal spring hasp on the hooks, But my thought there is "what a waste of money" as the only metal on the entire design is Decorative, not load bearing in any way. So In summary. Just from experience and 10 minutes of close inspection. If you are planing to use these for travel or light camping in average weather once or twice a year, then these should work well for you, and will likely make great weather resistant upgrade. But if you need a durable bag that will last for more than a year of travel and will have to be mission critical in reliability. I.E. Coast Guard, lineman, park ranger, minimalist camper. Than buy the real deal cuz this isn't gonna be a good shortcut for your wallet. The plastic tackle and zippers will most likely fail you when you most need them. ... show more
