I was up for 48 hours straight with a two-month-old beagle, and was far beyond my stress limit (iykyk). I did not like confining her to her crate because she lived in a crate in the shelter, and she is home now, so that felt wrong. However, it meant that she was constantly soiling anywhere she could and whining like she was being abused because she was too little to jump up on the couch. Having a playpen like this lets me do things like eating and taking a shower without constantly having to go run and check on her. This product saved me from returning my new puppy to the shelter. It comes mostly assembled, and was vetted easy to set up (I did not use the stakes, but did put a rubber backed rug under it).It probably wouldn’t stand up to a very large dog, but it does seem relatively sturdy and well-made. I am using it indoors so I don’t think it’s likely that it will rust, but I wouldn’t leave it out in the rain. Everything about owning a young puppy is about controlling the environment. When I first got my pup, Cow, I quickly realized I needed a space for him to play on his own without having access to everything around him. We are crate training, but sometimes he needs more room and to still be a part of the group. For the price, this is amazing. I love how easy it is to move around the house and it even comes with stakes for keeping in place outdoors. For a bigger dog, they may be able to push the fence around a little bit. Cow shifts the pen when he jumps, but hadn’t tried or discovered trying to push it. This could be be prevented by mounting it with a carabiner to something. Now that Cow is getting a little bigger and is proving he can handle more space independently, I want to get a second one to expand his space even further. (Fingers crossed no more potty accidents!!) We also have two cats, we’ve extended this pen to block sections of the house and act kind of like a baby gate. This has helped Cow stay contained and our cats feel secure as they adjust to the newest member of our family. Definitely would buy again and would recommend!! ... show more

We like everything about the crate except: The plastic tube “corner stabilizers”/“floor protectors” are nearly worthless for either purpose, as they pop right off at the slightest stress. (This is probably a factory tolerancing issue.) Besides which they are too slippery for a hardwood floor. After 30 minutes we came home to find our puppy had reshaped the pen and moved it from one room to another— lightly scratching the floor in the process. I’ve resorted to passing zip-ties through silicone tubing and using that for floor protection and anti-skid. Haven’t yet figured out what to use to stabilize the angles. ... show more

I use this instead of a hutch for my indoor rabbits. They are both holland lops, about 3.5 pounds each and this is a good size for them. It is 4’ x 4’ if you make it a square. It comfortably fits two litter boxes, a play tunnel, two food bowls, and has plenty of room for their toys and for them to sleep. They aren’t able to knock it over or move it too much when they put their weight on it. The door is perfect for when they get to be free range. Tall sturdy and good size to contain a dog without crating them. Super simple to assemble. We had to tie it to something to secure it so it wouldn't fall over on our dog when she jumps up on it. Very happy with the price and quality of this product.

This product was the best investment when my daughter's dog had puppies. It helped keep them confined to a certain area as well as assisted in getting them potty trained so quickly. It was easy to assemble, easy to fold up, and compact for storage. It had its own little door so the puppies could run out when we opened it. I would definitely but again. As of yet, I don't see anything that I would complain about. I would grab one because it can be used for any animal that won't jump out of it. ... show more
