  • All around amazing, comfortable & versatile skate!
These are amazing skates. Super fast, super comfortable, and a great price. I skate about 50 Miles a week around NYC/Brooklyn. I have a history of foot problems- injuries/surgeries. K2 as a brand has consistently been a favorite of mine for foot/ankle stability & comfort. Happy to wear their snowboard boots, my first set of pro skates as a teenager and now these awesome skates. Another thing I love about these is whether you are city skating, distance/speed skating through the park (I’m currently training for a 42K marathon through Prosepct Park on these) or hitting a skate park, they fit the bill. The entire brake mechanism is easy to remove for park skating & they feel exactly like an aggressive skate minus the grind pad. They are fast and easy to lace up, no ratchet system, just Velcro and laces. The top Velcro strap does an excellent job of stabilizing the entire ankle without sacrificing that comfortable soft boot feel. And yeah, they look amazing, I get compliments all the time. Make sure you grab the K2 skate tool & check their website for wheels, I was not able to find the exact replacements I want on Amazon at this time but they do have the tools, brake stoppers and I got an excellent set of K2 pads as well. ... show more

  • SHREDDING 8's
Salutations, I received them in great condition. These weren't my first choice (k2 Uptown) but definitely not the last. I like that you can do a little aggressive skating. If you want real aggression you can swap the frame. The boot fit is well and breathable. There was some discomfort around the inner ankle after being at the rink for a couple hours (expected). Just break em in! Im happy with my purchase anyway. The straps and materials feel like they will last through the years. the wheels and bearings are smooth sailing. All in all these are good doog! Went to the skate park the other day and saw only boards. What a sad era for blades. Bring em out bring em out! Pros: light totally rad looking took them on the turf and the rink. Glides like butter wicked speed Cons:NOTHING ... show more

  • Great beginner skate.
Great beginner skate. This was my first pair after decided the ones at the local rink are gross and beat. I personally think the boot is really comfortable and well made. The rail and wheels could be upgraded. But still works perfect for beginners. No super easy to do long commutes if the ground isn’t paved good. If you live where there are a lot of crack and rocks. It doesn’t go the easiest. ... show more

  • Love the way this skate fits!
Love the way this skate fits! Men's size 10 and I usually wear a 10. My heel only moves a little, and it's not crushing my arch. I do wish the top strap was a little lower, so it would help hold my heel in, instead of just inhibiting ankle movement. I love to have wheels on the skate that I'll actually use. I usually take them off to give to a beginner skater. These are great for urban skating: nice and wide, ride well, wear really well, and feel like polyurethane(not urethane). I also love that there's an extra axle, so I don't have to grind something out of old parts to make it fit. I'm really liking stability of the carbon fiber frame. I switched to aluminum from plastic 18 years ago and I think I'll stick with the carbon fiber and not put my aluminum frames on them. I really like that more parts on the skate are easily replaceable, including the lower strap, boot pivots, and standard frame. ... show more

  • I wuv these skates!!!!
I love them! They're very sturdy, I live in new york so i skate on concrete and they don't really take the rough roads well; but they are great! They offer a great amount of support and ride really smooth. I will admit that they hurt but Ive never had a pair of skates all my life that didn't; it comes with the territory, you can wear skating socks (which need to be long to cushion your shin as its taking the brunt of the abuse) but honestly it doesn't bother me. These skates are otherwise very comfortable in terms of the shoe and sole. Only grimace I have with them is that the break which is removeable has a strange bolt that I can't seem to find the tool for and I find the break unnecessary and annoying. And like I was saying before the concrete is causing the wheels to grind down a lot faster than I expected. Regardless they're my favorite skates in the world. Ive always heard great things about k2 skates but Ive never tried them out and Im glad I finally did! ... show more

  • I have them to my daughter she didn't enjoy them either
Not for me, sizing was tricky and the back tilted my leg forward. I found them very uncomfortable and bulky. I gave them to my daughter (we have completely different body types/abilities) she didn't enjoy them either:/ also, didn't want to return because of shipping costs. Anyone want to buy mine for a reduced cost?! Size 8 ... show more

  • but always loved they way K2's fit
It has been about 10 years since I stopped skating due to a broken back. I recently got the itch to skate again and started researching what skates to get. I used to primarily skate aggressives and had owned Roces, Razors and K2's in the past, but always loved they way K2's fit. When I came across these skates they were exactly what I was looking for. They are a great blend between an aggressive skate and a fitness skate. They are extremely comfortable and the blue looks awesome. You won't find a better skate for the price. These are the perfect skates to get me back into skating and they are so well built I don't see needing to upgrade any time soon. ... show more

  • Overall good
Pro: Good seller, quick shipping. Great skates. I was never used to big wheels so I swapped out for smaller diameter, took brake off. Great for keeping up w/ kids on their scooters, and letting dogs get some energy out. Neutral/small con: a little ‘hot-spot’ on inside ankle, not really something I can attribute to the manufacturer. Wearing thicker socks would probably solve. ... show more
