    • Looks Good, Lightweight, and Easy to Install
I should have checked both boxes of shutters (I ordered two sets of two) when the shutters were first delivered. I checked one box and everything looked good. Unfortunately, when I opened the second box when it was time for installation, one of the shutters was cracked, the corrugated shipping container was damaged, thus resulting in the crack. Regardless, since I am going into knee surgery very soon, I just didn't want one of the windows to have shutters, and the other without shutters if I waited for a replacement pair. I would be out of action for 3 months following surgery. Consequently, I repaired the crack by using very heavy duty tape on the backside of the shutter where the crack was, You can hardly tell there is a crack, but there is a crack regardless. Mounting the shutters was relatively easy, as the shutters are lightweight and easy to handle and position. I used the 1/4 inch plastic mounting pins, instead of the supplied screws. I drilled 1/4 holes into brick and mortar using ordinary drills, and was able to tap the plastic mounting pins into the side of the house using a light hammer. I have to admit, the shutters look great, and like I said, were easy to install. But the crack had me down rate the overall rating from 5 stars to 4 stars. I will know better next time to open all packages upon receipt to check for damage. Again, my upcoming knee surgery convinced me to mount the shutters despite the crack. Got good remarks when people see those on our house brick wall. pretty much of a no brainer installation, and good looking. Can't tell how long th ey will look good and last, but so far, over half year and they still look good and are in place.

I ordered 6 sets of shutters, when they arrived, they were bound together which was fine. My problem is that every single box is open on the top and bottom and all of the mounting screws are missing. I have sent a message and am waiting to hear back. I will rate them once I have the screws to mount them. ... show more
