Description

Microban Paint Additive is formulated to deliver long-lasting protection against mold & mildew on interior and exterior painted or stained surfaces, even for the most humid rooms! Simply mix the easy-to-blend formula into your kitchen, laundry room or bathroom paint to prevent mold and mildew stains and deterioration. For use in latex, water, oil and solvent based paints, stains, coatings and adhesives. DIRECTIONS FOR USE: Pour entire contents into 1 gallon of paint or other coating. Mix thoroughly, shaking and stirring this product into the coating for 2-3 minutes. Apply coating to the surface as directed by the coating manufacturer. In all cases, mix the coating prior to applying to the surface. To ensure best coverage and results, follow coating manufacturer's instructions for cleaning and preparing the surface. This product is for protecting the applied film and paint, not the substrate

Do you have any plans to paint a bathroom? A laundry room? A pool room? Any room in the Southeast USofA? Basically, anywhere you have persistent humidity, you can have mold and mildew form on your walls. That is both unhealthy and unsightly. It can also be very daunting to clean up. This Microban paint additive helps you stop the problem before it starts. Best of all, it is ridiculously easy to use. When you are ready to paint, you simply tip the entire bottle of fungicide to a full gallon of paint. You stir it in, mixing for two to three minutes, then, begin painting. It is that easy to stop the mildew and mold from forming on painted surfaces in humid areas. If you have plans to paint a bathroom in the near future, this would be a particularly worthwhile product to add to whatever paint you choose. I absolutely recommend this Microban paint additive as a very easy way to prevent mold and mildew that might otherwise become a very nasty mess for you to deal with. ... show more

Mold tends to be a problem in places that are more humid such as the bathroom. This product is great in preventing it. It's easy to use as you just mix with paint. Quality: The bottle is actually pretty small and I'm surprised that a bottle that small into a bucket a paint can prevent mold but so far I have no problems with it. It doesn't add any weird colors or scent when adding to the paint which is good. My bathroom area needs repainting but I'm afraid of mold because of the high humidity but having this products makes me more reassured that my paint in my bathroom will be okay. This mold control product is easy to use since you just add it to your paint and mix it. The paint seemed the same after adding it but I'll have to see how the bathroom holds up after a few months.

If you're repainting a bathroom, this stuff is a must. Since mine is in need of one soon I grabbed this when it was offered. This brand has been around forever, my husband is a painter and says it is worth its weight. Just add the product to your paint, mix well, mix some more, and paint as usual. I like the small amount, often times with home improvement products you need to order more than you need. Then you're stuck with an opened bottle that you have to store until "next time" or find a way to dispose of. So if like me you are just painting a small area then this size is perfect. My bathroom is small and mostly tiled so all I really need to do is the ceiling and a third of the walls. Just right! ... show more

I added this to a gallon of Glidden interior paint for my bathroom. It mixed in very well, did not change the color or tone of the paint at all. It rolled and brushed on just as easily as before. I'm using this with some interior latex paint we got for a bathroom remodel, to prevent the return of any mildew. It does have a strong smell at first, so you need to air out the room for a while as it dries. We're going to do the rest of the painting when it's warm enough to leave the windows open. I will start off by saying I have not had this product nearly long enough on my walls to determine how well it works. It does mix very well with paint and I noticed no negatives after paint was dry. Hopefully this will keep mold and mildew off of my bathroom walls.

I added it to a gallon of paint. It does have a strong smell. The paint applied without any residue. It does not alter the look or feel of the paint. No odors or mildew was seen after use.
