The media could not be loaded. I'm a retired professional mechanic having been in the automotive industry 50 plus years. I owned and operated my own shop for 10 years before retiring. Gates is a premium quality belt, and about the best there is. I installed this on my daily driver, a 2009 Honda Fit. This car was a bit of a pain to do because new belts are stiff and don't like to stay in place during installation, plus the fact there's very limited space to work in and you can't see well at critical areas. This is where I take exception to a negative review that said the belt fell apart and his mechanic "has never seen something like that" That's because the mechanic didn't install it correctly, guaranteed! He got lazy and tried to cheat to save time. I tried to get it from the top side only but ended up taking the right front tire off and lowering the access panel and using a small clamp to hold the belt in place on the damper pulley. Insuring the belt is on EVERY grooved pulley is CRITICAL and it's very easy to get the belt displaced one groove which ruins the belt quickly. Done correctly, a Gates belt should last upwards of 100,000 miles, as long as the idler arm, idler pulley and other components don't fail, are in good operational condition and importantly, the belt isn't INSTALLED INCORRECTLY, causing an almost immediate failure. It fit my car with no problems. My old belt had over 95,000 miles on it. I had it put on for me when I got new tires. Good price for the belt on Amazon.
