I usually wear 8.5 my foot length is 9.8 inches. They are leather and although a bit more pricey than I wanted to pay they are worth every Penney. I'm now waiting for the gold pair to come. Once I stuck my foot in the shoe, I was surprised how comfortable and great looking the shoe was. I generally wear 8.5, but purchased an 8. Have to wear a thinner footie but still comfy. The tongue on the shoe was a bit stiff but I believe I soften over time. I got a scuff on the suede part but used a suede eraser I already had to clean area. It removed the scuff.
