Fun activity for a play date. However the clay is really hard to roll and can be frustrating to kids who lack patience and want quick results. It does take some time. The end result though is awesome. We still use ours as a night light.

It was a fun project to do with my grandchildren. But my package did not come with a mat to roll out the clay, nor were there any written instructions. So I watched a video and took notes so I would know how long to bake them and at what temperature.

My grandkids are 6, 7 and 9. They were all able to create these with limited guidance. Kit makes 4 with quite a bit of clay left over for more. More clay is available at DG store or Wal Mart. There are only 2 baking forms so had to take turns at the point of putting them in the oven. Kids were were very excited all through the process and very proud of their finished projects. The clay did not hold up after being fired at all. They cracked right after we took them out of the oven. We worked so hard on them and it was sad to see that there was nothing to show for it at the end.

My kids loved making these and giving them to their dad for fathers day. Only issue was my 4 year old wasn't strong enough to kneed the clay so I did the hard part and let her pick the design

Not the easiest clay to work with. Tends to get very sticky when warm. Instructions do not say how thick the clay should be when molded onto form. Would not suggest for younger crafters.
