Alternative down is probably the way to go. This comforter is extremely well made, and actually does fluff up pretty much just like the pictures. I bought the heavy comforter for the winter. It's definitely fluffy and definitely warm, but I wouldn't call it hot. The stitching is perfect. It pretty much fluffed up coming out of the bag, but I threw it in the dryer for a few minutes and it fluffed up even more. It's definitely not cheaply made. The interior tie downs are nice if you decide to use a duvet cover. I would highly highly recommend this comforter. If you read any reviews talking about how thin and flat is comforter is, do not believe them

Holy Fluffiness Batman! I have been searching for a duvet insert that is fluffy and squishy like down without the hassle of dry cleaning or the crazy cost. Up to now nothing has come close but this comforter is AMAZING! I love this thing! My first thought was “ It doesn’t look that fluffy” but then I got in bed and pulled it over me and it was a whole other story. I have had it about a week and I don’t want to get out of bed. You would never know it was not down. It is like being under a blanket of light, little fluffy pillows. I was afraid it was going to be too hot but it is not at all- and it is not heavy either ( hate feeling pinned to the bed by my blanket) . I have not washed it yet but I did put it in the dryer on no heat to fluff it up out of the package. There was no smell out of the package. It is a vanilla color, not white. I paired it with bamboo sheets and duvet cover and I am in heaven. Even without the duvet cover it feels really soft. I have a queen bed and the queen size was long enough to hang over the sides enough that I don’t regret not getting the king. You may want to get the bigger size if you have more than one person sleeping in the bed. If you like to be comfy in your bed and need a good nights sleep get this!! You will not regret it 😁

Purchased this duvet insert to replace IKEA insert. IKEA has 5 different types of warmth ratings. I had #4 ranking to warmness. This duvet I would say is #5 as its even warmer. Maybe a bit too warm. Will try it over winter and give rating in spring. Have to add that image is true. It is very puffy. More than others I had. It doesn't stay in the corners of duvet cover without being tied and pulls away from edges. Still five stars!

I absolutely hate this thing. Absolute fail and I'm stunned at the high reviews. 😳 I normally have the Amazon basics so seasons. But when I went to get another one they were sold out. So naturally I went looking for another. This one just sucks. It's not fully it's just lumpy. And it doesn't fit my king as an insert. It's too small. Not sure what's going on there but the Amazon one I had for perfectly. I feel that the size is a lie though the bag reflects correctly. 🤷🏼♀️ I'm every sound quilted pattern there's a tiny amount of fluffy stuff but it doesn't fill it it's just a little bunches up amount. Like 15% of the area. It's awful. Conclusion to this is I looked up Amazon basics again and the app seasons was in stock again. So I'm returning this and buying the Amazon one again. 👎🏼

This comforter is so fluffy! It’s exactly what I had been looking for without having to go with down. I put it in the dryer on air fluff for 20 minutes and it really puffed up. It’s not too heavy either. I’m 52 and a very hot sleeper and there’s only been a couple nights I push it off me, and that’s usually when the dogs are laying against me. Definitely would purchase again!

Despite the description, this comforter is not fluffy or noiseless-and yes, I did fluff it in the dryer. The blanket sounds like a winter parka when moved. The positives are that it is warm and does have convenient loops for securing it inside a duvet. If you are looking for overfilled, puffy and luxurious, this is not the choice for you.
