This was the second 8 channel radio I ordered from this MFG, and again, could not bind the RX to the TX through the provided power port on the RX. Without power to the RX, you can not bind the RX to the TX. By experimenting with various approaches, I discovered that power to the RX can only be achieved if you use an ESC with a BEC circuit. This is not mentioned in the poorly prepared short instruction manual. After contacting the MFG several times regarding the binding issue, they failed to mention: 1. The reason for the external power plug, and 2. That power needs to be supplied via an ESC connected to a battery and plugged into a servo port. This is clearly like no other radio system I have used in over 50 years of RCing! I have rated it as 3 out of 5 stars, as once I figured out how to bind the system, all worked fine, and the various systems on the TX were unique. THIS IS NOT A PRODUCT FOR ANY NEW RCer. The instruction manual is truly pathetic and could be the downfall for anyone without RC experience.

Programming can be a bit finicky, but once its locked in its good to go. I really like the fact that this is rechargable AND takes batteries in case you forgot to charge it. Screen is nice with a ton of adjustabiity. Finally one controller for all my different cars!

Purchased this as a gift for a friend. Really easy to program, its light weight and ergonomically comfortable. I used it for about a week while I set it up for him and I am very impressed with the intuitive menus. Receivers are inexpensive as well.

A whole lot of bang for your buck. The only drawbacks I see would be the lack of manual trim adjustments outside of programming. Weird wording for the different menus and the steering wheel springs are slightly stiffer than I would prefer. But for $40 I really don't think you can beat it. Heck it even has a game to play when you get bored between rounds. A great option for 1rc cars on a budget.
