I bought these because on some applications (on my truck for example), a regular zip tie will get brittle and fail over time, and I wanted something more permanent. - Very strong. Just one of these will replace a couple of regular zip ties. - They provide you with the cutting tool (very nice!). - They are about 12" long, and can close to a 3.5" diameter There are a couple things that you should know before buying these. > First, you can cinch them down very easily using Needle nose pliers, and grabbing, rolling in a circle. > The excess cable left over, should be bent down and backwards afterwards. I mention this because in my experience the metal left over from trimming the excess off will be razor sharp, and if you happen to graze it with your hand or arm at some time in the future, then you could do some real damage very easily. If you look at the pics I included, see how I folded the end back under (using Needle nose pliers), which takes the sharp edge away, and less likely to cause damage in the future. These are Fantastic zip ties. They actually gave me more of them (than 125), and I am really happy about that. These are a bit thicker than some others I have had in the past. They are perfect or wiring up your exhaust system in an emergency, or re-inforcing a chain link fence! This is a well made product, and I highly recommend them. They are a bargain versus the regular plastic type.

These are handy items to have around the shop, garage or house. I got them so I could lock a few doors that are on my parrots cage. He figured out how to open the doors and has been getting out when he's left unattended. I used string, plastic zip ties, wire and worm screw clamps. He learned to unscrew the clamps, break the zip ties and unwind the wire. So, I turned to these. So far so good! However, as a professional mechanic and a guy who collects hobbies, I can think of no less that 100 uses for these. In some cases (not all) they are superior to regular zip ties. The don't crack, break or deteriorate. I would not use them on electrical wires but anything and everything else where you would use a plastic zip tire, you could use these. Although, there is a learning curve to getting them tight. A set of regular pliers will help in this instance.

These are great. They are inexpensive, and they are stainless steel. I have tons of the ubiquitous plastic ties that come in all sizes. They are cheap and great for so many things like keeping cables together. However, in direct Sun, the plastic ones eventually break down. Even the black so-called Sun-proof ones, eventually years down the road, break down and get brittle. These are stainless steel, tough and will never rust or break down in direct sunlight. At only 8 cents a pop, they are a bargain for what they do. As you can see in the pic, these are on the small side, but just like the plastic ones, simply connect as many together as you need to make longer ones. Once tightened down, they don't come apart, and work fine. Definitely a five star item.

I’m using these steel zip ties to secure grid fencing to t-posts for my deer fence. They are 304 stainless steel, much better than even the thickest plastic ties. It cinches really tight and stays put. They’re rated to hold 200lbs, about 4 times the strength of plastic ties. These are definitely the way to go for heavier duty, outdoor, or high-heat applications. The included pliers didn’t cut the excess strap very well. Diagonal cutters or steel snips work better. Great product and a good value.

These are great metal zip ties, and it comes in a pack of 120; more than I'll probably ever need. I love that it comes with a pair of cutters as well, so you can even use one as a test tie before using them on your projects. I got these to help hold up the exhaust system on my car, and they should be more than able to handle the exhaust heat, according to the packaging. 5/5!

Rated at 90kg breaking strength... figure 200 lbs. One by itself will make a circle of about 3.5 inches max, or 90mm. Reading up on it, there are 3 types of metal ties. These are the most popular, called Roller Ball. There's a ball inside the head that locks the band. This is interesting. They say nylon requires moisture to remain pliable. If the nylon zip tie dries out in storage, it gets brittle, and may break when first applied. And generally dry conditions shorten the lifespan. The product description says 120 ties but I got 150. The metal snips are nothing fancy but it cuts very well. Asking price was $9.99.
