    • the toy should be fun but the packaging is very badly done
The packaging was badly done. It was half opened at the top, but when I opened it up completely the ty it self was okay so I wouldn't return it. But the packaging is so terribly done. With an already opened opening, and there were scratches all over the paper container.

    • Expert-level model; wire clippers a MUST
Background: I've assembled ~35 Metal Earth models before buying the Transformers four-pack, see my Verified Purchased review there. I was a little wary of the price but recanted the second I opened it. This model has ~65 parts on two sheets, 8 pages of instructions, and will clearly be an all-day project. The complexity is an order of magnitude above anything I've touched before (includes sets of Star Wars x2, Star Trek, and tanks), not for the faint of heart. I haven't opened the others yet, but am expecting the same. I am looking forward to the challenge :) WIRE CLIPPERS: Did you notice 65 parts above? Each sheet is so cramped with parts that the metal BETWEEN parts is reduced to the structural integrity of dental floss. I have no doubt that removing pieces by flexing/twisting WILL tear the sheet apart. The pieces would be fine and you'd still get the model together, but working around this problem would artificially introduce a nightmarish layer of complexity. ... show more
