I love this product! The quality is fantastic: I have had it about three years (flipping it from dirty to clean and back again daily) and it has held up wonderfully. The magnet is very strong and has never slid out of place, and the slider is great: takes enough effort to slide it that it doesn't accidentally slide on its own, but when you do want to change it, it flips quickly into place with just a little nudge--just a flick of your finger and it goes the rest of the way on its own. After 3 years of use with two elementary-aged kids in the house, the only wear and tear is that the writing has a slight chip in the word "dirty" (and I think it actually came that way, but it was small enough that it didn't bother me--and I'm very picky) and the middle of the word "clean" has faded a little. To me, that is pretty standard wear and tear that I'd honestly expect after just one year, and it's been three. I also LOVE the look of it. We have a GE dishwasher in the "slate" color (a matte brownish-grey with a silver handle) and it looks like it is an original part of the dishwasher!! I will say that it does look more like regular silver stainless steel than you might expect for something labeled "black stainless", as it matches the silver handle on our dishwasher perfectly. I'd say it's slightly lighter than it appears in the pictures the seller provides. But because of that, it would match both the stainless steel and "slate" ones like I have, and would probably still look good with a black stainless one, just looking like a silver accent. I love this one so much that I came here today to buy another one, even though mine is still in great condition, just because I want to be sure I can replace it whenever it does need it one day if they don't make them anymore! For a few years now, I have been leaving a note on the counter after running the dishwasher to say when the dishes were clean. It worked but I wanted something a bit easier and remembered seeing magnets like these somewhere. I ordered this one after reading reviews for others that cost less that said they slid back and forth from clean to dirty when the dishwasher was opened to add more dishes. This one does not do this as it has strong magnet catches at either end to keep the slide where you want it. It is well worth the extra cost. We have a stainless dishwasher and this actually matches the handle and looks like it’s built in as part of the appliance. We love it! Looks great and simple to use. ... show more
