After 2 years of wear in the Arizona desert I can honestly say these are a great value. I’ve hiked, walked, climbed some hills and rocks and they’ve withstood the beating. 100 Geocaches and untold miles later they still have lots of life left in them. The Cholla needles don’t penetrate through the soles my feet stay dry in the unexpected desert storm and they’re very comfortable. I have had several pairs of Merrells and these fit like all the rest. I always size up by half for hiking boots/shoes from my normal size, regardless of the brand. This is my 4th time purchasing these shoes, I wear these shoes everyday and work in the fields for agricultural. So I walk through wet weeds, grass, mud, sloppy poop regularly! Boots just didn’t give me the support I needed but these are a good supporting tennis shoe with the benefit of water/poop resistance! I originally purchased two pairs, one work and one for town/church, and now when my work ones get too bad I buy a new pair and my town ones become work ones…. These shoes did not hold up. My heels tore up the back of shoe and the waterproofing was poor so plenty of wet feet. Don’t buy. There are better values for your money out there.
