Description

This speed hiker attacks terrain. Its ventilated mesh upper is made for hot temps and forging creeks. Efficiency comes from the unifly midsole. In general we recommend the following guidelines for cleaning the footwear:Cleaning: on a regular basis, brush away any surface dirt with a soft brush. After extended, rugged use, wash with mild soap and warm water. Be sure to rinse all soap off as it is hydrophilic. Drying: open footwear fully, remove the insole and laces and dry at room temperature. Never expose to heat! Conditioning: recommended treatment depends on construction and materials of the footwear (most treatments do alter color and appearance).

  • A Hawaii must have!
Size: 8 Color: Blue Heaven
I bought these for a month long trip to Hawaii and American Samoa. They were perfect for the treks to waterfalls, kayaking. My only complaint is if you are walking on a beach and the sand gets in you have to take them off to dump the sand out. I loved them, they saved my feet! I wouldn't hike for really long hikes in them as there is not too much support. I also sometimes wore socks with them, that made them even more comfortable to wear. ... show more

  • Perfect for my havasupai hiking trip
Size: 10 Color: Blue Heaven
These shoes worked perfect for my hiking that included water crossings. They were actually so comfortable I wore them on my 10 mile hike out of the canyon instead of my other hiking shoes.

  • My favorite hiking shoes
These are absolutely the best hiking shoes for warmer weather Loads of room in the toe area and a light mesh so my feet are not hot on long hikes!!!! I hope this style continues to be offered;)

  • The description was slightly misleading but still a good shoe
Size: 8 Color: Blue Heaven
So i searched waterproof merrells and this came up in the results. So the description says waterproof leather, but also that it’s mesh uppers and sides. I should have put together that it’s literally just the leather trim that is waterproof and not a waterproof shoe, it is literally a water shoe. It wasn’t what I was wanting to get, however I’m going to keep them to see how well they do as a water shoe cuz I plan on doing some white water rafting this summer. I’ve had many pairs of merrells over the years and this is another good comfortable shoe like the others I’ve owned admins beat the crap out of. I wear a size 8 1/2 or 9 in most shoe brands but pretty consistently wear an 8 medium or 8 wide depending on the style of merrell. ... show more

  • Fantastic Shoes!!!
Size: 8 Color: Blue Heaven
I earn my keep by being in the outdoors most of the time, and I "hike" rivers like other people hike mountains - not on the banks, but by going straight up the middle. This means that my shoes are in the water for hours/miles at a time, and are subjected to a constant barrage of mud, rocks, sticks, and other debris. In the month of July, I literally destroyed three new pairs of what one would call the classic "water shoes" - the little slip-on things with mesh uppers and rubber soles. This is not new - I have gone through countless pairs. I was logged in on Amazon, doing a search for yet another pair this week when this pair of Merrell's popped up in the suggestions. I just about fell out of the chair when I saw the price, but after a quick calculation, I realized I was spending at least this much in disposable water shoes over the course of every summer, so I gave it some serious consideration. My feet are fairly wide, and as a result, I normally shy away from women's shoes and buy boys instead. However, I noticed that one of the other reviewers mentioned that these had a pretty wide toe box, so I decided to take the chance and order them. My UPS guy delivered them as I was loading my kayak on the truck yesterday evening - couldn't have been better timing - I was headed up river a few miles, taking the kayak along to tow my stuff, and I was prepared to go barefoot, which works, but sometimes results in a bruise or two. I pulled them out of the box and was impressed with the design - sturdy, but lightweight. I then put them on and was equally impressed wit the arch support (I have high arches - it felt really nice). Then I walked across the floor, and much to my delight, I could feel the air moving through the mesh, cooling my feet. So far so good - it was time to head to the river. Upon entering the water, the shoes (of course) immediately filled with water, but very little sand/gravel. As I made my way up river, I was amazed - a lot of the rocks are slick with moss and sediment, but I didn't slip. And not a single "OUCH!" as I made my way through fast water where I couldn't see the bottom - normally this means coming down hard on a rock at least once, and although I'm sure I did, I never felt the first twinge of discomfort. Slogging through sandy areas resulted in a small amount of sediment in the shoes, but not enough to be uncomfortable. Upon my return back down river, I took the shoes off to rinse them out. That was easy - they didn't capture and hold on to sand/gravel like the other ones did that I had been wearing. I also noticed that they float - an added bonus should one get away from me. I inspected them carefully for signs of destruction - normally after only one trip, the cheaper ones will show cracking on the bottom and at least a few tears/loose threads. Nothing was wrong with these - nada. I put them back on and climbed the muddy hill to the truck - they had great traction there, as well. All in all, I am EXTREMELY pleased with this purchase. The shoes not only perform exactly as I needed them to in the water, but they are actually REALLY comfortable. We still have a fair amount of summer left here in Virginia, and I will be putting them through their paces for quite a while longer. I will update my review toward the end of the season. I paid full price for these shoes and did NOT get them at reduced cost or for free in return for a review. :) ... show more

  • Perfect! So comfy & great for outdoor adventures!
Size: 9 Color: Black/Aventurine
I ordered another pair, in a different color, right after I received my 1st pair. When you find something this well fitted, good looking, & practical, you must have 2! :)

  • Best Merrell's I've EVER Owned
Size: 6 Color: Black/Aventurine
I usually purchase and wear Merrell Moab Vent either the mid or low hiking shoes/boots. I love those for hiking around Southern Utah as it's extremely rocky here and they have a solid sole and are sturdy. However, I needed something to use at my job since I have to walk around campus a lot and it's well over 100 degrees during the summer months so they needed to be more lightweight then the Merrell Moab shoes. The All Out Blaze by Merrell are my new favorite shoe. They are lightweight and have plenty of breathability to keep me cooler. I would compare them to a minimalist shoe; I've worn Inov-8 shoes for the gym and Merrell's All Out Blaze would be a similar (although the sole is slightly thicker). I will say the arch support isn't as prevalent compared to the Moab. I do have wider feet and didn't have an issue with the All Out Blaze; they fit like a sock. I usually wear a size 6 in Merrell's and wore the same size for this shoe. I wear socks with mine, but I would guess you could go sockless. I've worn them all day for two days and I plan to puchase more just to store away in case Merrell discontinues these shoes or changes the style. My biggest frustration is finding a shoe I love and the manufacturer changes the style. If you're looking for something more minimal yet the comfort you expect from Merrell, you should try the All Out Blaze. Depending on the terrain, these would be good for a short hike or walk. I would wear them for shorter hikes, but anything long (given the rockiness of my area), I would use my Moab's. I haven't tried them in the water, but I think they'd dry pretty quickly given the breathablility of the shoe. I love this shoe so I just had to share my thoughts in hopes of others finding a new favorite by Merrell. ... show more
