As we will be hiking in a rain forest, near the ocean and over rocky terrain, I acquired this waterproof footwear, featuring lug soles, that should provide traction and a degree of ankle support. I am presently test driving them on local trails, wearing wool socks. I'm happy the boots came in a wide width, as they are, so far, very comfortable. I was looking for a boot that could handle a variety of terrain from flat walking paths, city sidewalks to rocky steep trails with heavy roots, mud and the occasional stream. And my feet are wide so I appreciate the extra room across the toe box up front. In my first several weeks with them, they fit nice right out of the box and are holding up well. Pros: Good looking and very comfortable. Sturdy outsole provide great support over rough rocks. Kept my feet dry through wet grass. Cons: Very slippery on wet tiles. Wrong colour shipped.

The boots are comfortable and very well made. When purchasing keep in mind to order 1/2 size bigger. I ordered my exact size and my toes were up against the front of the boots. My toes didn’t hurt but it may be uncomfortable for other people. Overall, I will return for a 1/2 bigger so that I can wear double socks without issues. ... show more
