Originally ordered the 8.5 B width because that’s what I wear in the Merrell Jungle Moc, but they were too narrow and I had to return them. Reordered in the wide width and they’re great! They have a nice wide toe box but they fit snuggly at my heel so my feet don’t slide around. They’re not quite as supportive as the Jungle Moc but they’re very comfortable! They’re also just a little tight at the top but I have ankles that are wider than average so I pretty much expected that. Overall 5 stars! ... show more

I took advantage of the “try it” option, and ordered about a dozen different types of high top, leather, slip on shoes. I like laceless leather because there are no holes for hot metal sparks to sneak down into my shoes. These Merrels were the winners, by far, over all. Very Comfortable, narrow for my skinny feet, light enough, and I can stand all day on concrete in them. The shoes are very nice if the size is correct. My husband has worn Merrell shoes for years. Size 8.5 wide. This pair is huge! Even with thicker socks. The box says 8.5 W. The inside tags on the shoes also say 8.5 W. Luckily another family member that also wears Merrell shoes could fit them and loves them. He wears 9.5-10 and they fit him perfectly. Yay! Let me preface this that I put my footwear through hell and back. It sees urban jungles to deep remote forests and work that I do. These boots have been with me through it all and survived through thick and thin for almost 3 years now. Most footwear falls apart quickly after a year, but not Merrel. Hands down my go to for boots.
