This shoe fits like my others. It is a heavier shoe, but that's expected from Merrell. The sole is sturdy and a bit stiff, but has a nice pattern that grips the ground well. The shoe has a removable insert with an arch support. The support is a foam rubber so I can't say if it will stand up to long term use. The heel padding is very thick. I use custom orthotics and can't use standard inserts, therefore I can't rate the comfort. Shipping took longer that anticipated, even with prime. These shoes look cool as heck. The aesthetic is on point and they really do look amazing! But just go get two bricks and strap them to your feet. It's the same experience. They hit every pressure point, offer zero support, or rather you'd be better off with zero support. I knocked my knuckle on the inside of the insole and it made a loud, hard, almost wooden sound. I wore them for a single day and can't remember the last time my feet hurt so bad, EVEN WHEN SITTING DOWN. I had a pair of the original Moab shoes. They lasted me three years before I wore them out, and man did I wear them out. 8-12 hours a day for 3 full years. Amazing shoes. These... these are just some of the worst $110 pair of bricks I've ever bought. They do look nice though. ... show more

I have worn this style Merrill for decades and been satisfied. That’s why I keep coming back to the Moab. Tennis, Moab, hiking, have always served me well and fit properly. I cannot say this for some other Merrill styles

A bit sloppy on fit compared to my previous Moabs, but I wear thicker socks and they are just fine. I have issues finding a shoe that is wide enough, so this fits the bill well. Better a bit loose than too tight. Rugged, I work in construction as an inspector so they get a real workout. I switch between these and my old pair daily and place them in front of a fan when not in use to dry them out. ... show more

I bought these after my feet skrunk a few sizes (18 4e to 14 wide) after some weightloss (225lbs at this moment) and they fit my feet nearly perfect. My only complaint is that the factory laces loosen and come untied very easy, however this issue can be replaced for relatively cheap.

Years ago I purchased a pair of Merrells in Size13. They were tight and never broke in as I expected. I was unable to return them as I had purchased them at an Outlet Store 100 miles from home. I then forgot about the small sizing from this manufacturer. Last week I purchased the MOAB 2 shoe in a size 13. They were so tight that I felt that my feet were being strangled. I returned them and purchased another pair in a size 14. This pair was so big that I felt that my feet were swimming in them. I have had this same experience with New Balance Shoes.
