US size 9 / Europe 42 generally fit me spot on. After reading many reviews that said they run small and people were going up one size, I ordered a 9.5 standard width. The 9.5 was much too big, so I returned and ordered a 9. I saw on the box it was a 43, and sure enough it fit fine but a tad looser than I would have preferred. I decided to not do a second return and keep them. Not sure why others feel they run small. Quality wise, they're great, i've owned several Merrell 'outdoor' shoes, and these fit the bill and are not overly "chunky" ... show more

I've been ordering Moab shoes for about 12 years. I haven't kept count, however, I have probably ordered between 15 and 20 pairs of them. I've never had a problem with the uppers -- I buy them when I where the soles out -- usually the heels. I am a big fan of Vibram soles and the Moab has always featured them. They fit pretty much as advertised. I generally where Mens size 8.5 or size 9 shoes and I have always bought the size 9 Moab shoes and the size has been consistent over the years. I wear them as an all purpose shoe -- walking around town, light hiking, and also to the gym. I have also used these in many exercise classes over the years. I always buy the "non Goretex" version. I did purchase a pair of the Goretex Moab Boots and I am also EXTREMELY happy with those for winter use. ... show more

Excellent hiking shoes for me. I live in Southern California so we don’t get much rain. Therefore I don’t need waterproof shoes. When hiking there are many rocks that could cause hot spots on my feet. These hiking shoes have a solid midsole that help prevent hot spot. They have low sides, unlike boots, so they don’t get as hot when hiking. They fit just right too, for me. ... show more

This is the second pair that I have purchased for my husband and he loves him he doesn’t want to ever have another pair other than this brand and this style they fit him wonderfully and his feet feel really great. Highly recommended this friend very very well-made and true to size.

I am a repeat customer of Merrill shoes. This is my third pair...as other brands wear out, they are replaced with Merrill footwear. I have closed-toe sandals and ankle high waterproof boots. This particular version sits nicely in-between. Good fitting shoes that wear well.

I have always been a Merrel fan and love the comfort and durability. However I ordered beige because that is always the color I buy and when I checked out and did my order review it was beige but they shipped me Boulder. Luckily for them I can except the color which isn't to bad. I tried to send back a pair of pants and they said they never got them even when I used their tag and UPS picked them up. Went from replacing Skechers every 6 months to replacing Merrells every couple of years. Every replacement has been due to loss of cushioning from walking on concrete all day. No tears or sole failures yet. Continue to buy nothing but Merrell for everyday shoes.

My husband is a mechanic and wear a size 13. He buys this same shoe every six months and wears them until they are falling apart. We think they would last longer if they weren’t exposed to automotive chemicals. Great shoe!!!
