I've had a few pairs of the go-to brand liner shorts that you see in the Instagram ads. They're great, absolutely love them, but for 65 bucks for a pair of shorts, it was a tough pill to swallow every time I wanted a new pair, or different colors. These are a legitimate nearly perfect replica, at half the price, and great quality. To be honest, I might actually prefer the fit of these Freeballers to my brand name ones. They are a lot less flowy over the thighs, and have a much more cut and tailored fit to them. They fit great, have the same pocket sizes, and are just as comfy. These will be my go to shorts, and I'll probably exclusively buy these from this point on. The ONLY thing that is missing on these shorts, that the other brand does have, are belt loops. You don't need a belt on either brand of shorts, as they are elastic, and have a drawstring, but sometimes I wear these types of shorts to go golfing, and I like the aesthetic of wearing a belt, which I can't do with these shorts. Is it a big deal? Absolutely not. Does it even matter enough to deduct a star on the rating? Absolutely not. These shorts are perfect. If you're already interested in them enough to be reading the review, let me save you some time- Just buy them! Great value, great fit, great shorts overall.

These are the perfect shorts. I live in Myrtle Beach and when im not in a suit for work, im in board shorts , a long sleeve pullover and loafers for flip flops. the problem is... board shorts in most places are just not acceptable. THESE ARE THE BEST PAIR OF SHORTS I've owned. they are comfortable and good quality. they have the spandex underneath but they are not too tight so you definitely get a good breeze. I purchased 2 pair and will be purchased some more once they come back in stock. referred them to my father as well. get these shorts, you will not regret it. the only thing is that they do run a little small (in my opinion). I usually where a 31-33 size waist and I purchased a large which im glad I did. im usually a medium but the large in this company is even a little small. I possibly even could have ordered the XL and been ok but the large I will keep. great shorts , buy them!

Simply put these are probably my favorite pair of shorts I own. They are soft and comfortable as well as supportive and allow enough room and stretch to move freely. They have one zippered pocket on the back side that is wide enough for some cash and cards so don’t expect to sneak in a full size wallet by any means. I am absolutely going to order more of these. I have “ The Generals” for now. If I had to make any recommendations it would be to make a few more fun, bright and exciting patterns. Number two would be make them the same price on the website and Amazon, they are $5 more on merited.com. Overall I am very impressed with these shorts and will definitely be coming back for more! I am 6’ 2” and somewhere around 215lbs and a 34ish inch waist and the Larges fit me perfectly.

These are the best workout shorts for men, I have ever worn. The fit, quality, the zippered pocket, various colors & price. My only issue is the hand washing. After working out, I throw my shorts in the laundry, and I am done. I don't have the time to hand wash my sweaty workout shorts. So, after washing, the emblem on the back leg fades or peels off. I guess I will try a gentler cycle. Almost 5 stars. I just bought more, so I must like them. Great shorts!

These shorts are the perfect pair of shorts. Correct length, solid pockets- the zipper pockets are great, and very durable. I wear them for daily around the house, running errands, running/weightlifting/playing tennis- and even to the pool/beach! Perfect all around shorts. So nice I eventually wound up with 12 pairs. Can wear a dark solid color out to a bar with a polo and nobody can tell. I’ve gifted easily 10 pairs to friends who have gone and bought more themselves! Note- their sizing runs small. I am 6’0” 235-240 and wear the XXXL. Also, for some reason when I order the khaki pairs, Amazon sends the wrong khaki freeballers shorts. Has nothing to do with the product- it’s an Amazon issue. Probably will just buy a khaki pair from their website direct. I’ve had some pairs for over a year, they are holding up well. I usually air dry but have used the dryer as well with no shrinking. That being said, get a pair!

My husband had recently tried the brand "Bird Dogs" for shorts, which are super similar to these, but at a higher price point. I wanted to get him another pair, but found these instead and gave them a try. He LOVES them. They're honestly great. Compared side by side, they are virtually identical to Bird Dogs. They're comfortable, perfect for the summer (he can wear them all day as regular shorts and then jump in the pool with them, too), and he instantly wanted more pairs. I highly recommend getting these!

Excellent customer service! I had a minor issue with my most recent pair, and the professionals at Meripex responded within minutes and resolved my issue, beyond my expectation, within a couple hours. Very comfortable liner and hold up well to my kettlebell training. The side zippered pocket holds my phone slightly behind my leg, out of the way, while I workout. 3rd pair I've bought, still using the first ones! Great in the pool, too--dry quickly and can go from the water to the restaurant. Order one size larger than normal. I'm built funny with super short legs for my height. XXL fits great, where I usually wear XL in other brands. Muscular 6'1", 255 lbs, with 27" inseam. Love the shorter 6" length!

These are really nice. I like them as much as some of the trendy, more expensive brands. They are a tighter fit than some of the other brands and the liner is a little too lose but it doesnt bother me. I like the range of available colors too. Great value
