My new-to-me fishing boat was in great condition--except for the propeller. It was dented, dinged, and cracked. After getting used to the boat and its characteristics, changing the prop became a high priority. After quite a bit of researching and a visit a few local boat dealers, I concluded that this prop was the best value and closest in design replacement for my 50HP mercury 2-stroke. So I bought it. Turns out, replacing the prop was about a 15 minute job. Simple and straightforward. I took my boat to the local lake to test it out. My conclusion is that the boat runs smoother, and I've gained about 4 mph at top rpm (5000). Changing the prop wasn't cheap, but it's great insurance if your prop is worn or damaged. Replacement for factory prop I destroyed on some rocks. Easy to install. Runs great. Good balance of value, performance and the prop will bend or break before causing expensive internal damage to your motor.

1st day out on the lake, part of one of the ears broke off. I realize it's only aluminum, but come on man.
