I went with the Amazon-recommended size after carefully reading the sizes and all the reviews... and this thing is still WAY too tiny! I'm a woman, and it recommended XL... I cannot even close the top. There's probably 6 inches or more of a gap that it just will not close. On top of that, it feels extremely small in the SHOULDERS, and I'm not a wide girl by any means in my shoulders. The product itself is good enough quality, so I still gave it 5 stars to be fair -- but if you are over 150 lbs or have wide shoulders, I'd very CAREFULLY read the measurements and sizes. The top isn't made to close fully based on the pictures, but I personally could not even get close to the way the model was wearing it, so just be mindful (those with a totally flat chest will have an easier time, of course). ... show more

Item took too long to arrive. When it arrived it was marked as 2XL but it fits more like a Small. I ordered an XL not a 2XL but I cannot even close this kimono around me.

Fits perfectly but I would order up one size for the sake of movement. It fits well enough I can wear it around the house and it will work for my costume. However I would need more room to exercise/train. And for the sake of my Renaissance Costume, I would go XXL instead of XL. The negative reviews about the size suggested that an XL would fit me perfectly and it does... because I am a 5'3, rather small woman. Good fabric, looks great. The armholes are a bit narrow for a Kimono - they fit fine, but you expect them to be really roomy.
