The soles are like hard plastic, so much so that they make a “clacking” sound when I walk across my hardwood floors. They’re also fit tight around the ankles and are hard to lace up. The soles get caught on any workout device that requires you to strap your feet in, e.g., bicycle, rowers, etc… all around not a very comfortable or functional shoe. Also, they come in a plastic bag, with no internal support for keeping the shape of the shoe, so when you open up the bag the shoes look like something you would dig out from the bottom of a giant, used shoe bin; crushed, deformed, and wrinkled. So what a great surprise when these cheap no name shoes turned out to be comfortable and fit great. I wear an 11.5 and I ordered a 12 and I really like the extra room in the shoe. They're a little clunky on hard floors but great looking shoes and very white. Well after only a week one of the holes for the laces has pulled thru.
