I describe this às a shoe, because it's not sturdy enough to be considered a boot. It is a nice looking shoe, lacks support in the sole, it twists when under pressure, rather than supporting you feet. It's synthetic top cleans easily, nice. Fairly comfortable considering the price. It's price point is good. So if you want a jeans, and boot look they are great, but on a construction site, not so much.

Upon first looking over the shoe it seems decent. As you start to wear the shoe you realize it is cheap and flimsy. Within days of wearing it, it bends terribly when walking and has a clompy, airy step as you walk. Bends more than my simple tennis shoes at the sole. At first I figured it wouldn't be a problem since I was just driving a bus with them on. Then I found they are such cheap soles and such low support that the balls of my feet hurt just while stepping on the gas and brake pedal of the bus I drive for work. If I could go back, I wouldn't have bought these shoes for any purpose.

I'm giving it 3 stars as my feet always hurt. Definitely water proof. Oddly enough the biggest flaw that I found torturous for my feet is the flexible sole combined with the boot style heel. Usually and I am assuming for good reason hiking and work related boots have stiff soles. The tennis shoes flexibility combined with a stair stepped boot sole is awkward and downright painful. I was at my wits end working overtime. They don't initially hurt but after several hours you find your whole legs aching awfully. If you walk down a slope it's just weird how the heel will feel like it's come loose and trying punch through the center of the sole. Basically you have to have a flat surface for a flexible sole or a rigid one if you have a boot heel.

I bought these to go to the lake on opening day. They came a day early so I decided to break them in. My initial thoughts were that I would need to add some insoles for added comfort ( I'm 6'2 and 280 lbs). To my surprise these boots remained comfortable throughout the entire day of fishing which included walking up to 2 miles. Every puddle of water I came across I intentionally walked through to see just how water resistant they were. They held up under every circumstance. I purposely put these boots through hell and not only did they hold up, they were ready for more. There is one slight flaw (if you can call it that), is that these boots fits slightly larger than your standard size, so if you like your boots laced up super tight you may have to wear thicker socks. Other than that I would highly recommend. Will definitely be buying another pair to wear when I'm not in the great outdoors.
