I wanted to use this outside to enjoy the weather without the bugs but the stability of the material is not meant to using with out a large object (like a mattress) to hold it in place. Bought this for my 5 year old who doesn't stay in her bed and wanders the house at night. After the first night I noticed a small hole/tear by the frame of the tent (see photo). I checked on the tent every day after that and it was fine. Then this morning I went in the bedroom to find my daughter had somehow made a huge tear in the seam with the gray ruffle. There's no way I can fix this and I'm outside the return window, so now I'm stuck. Should have ordered one of the other sleep tents.
