Not sure what they mean by lightproof but this is basically a cheap sheer curtain.. also the frame is not included so you should probably buy one with a bar in the middle that can hold the top up because as you can see in the picture it’s very loose. Horrible! As you can see the curtains are not as shown in the picture that they advertise it came with a lot of string that was framed at the end and hooks that were like shower curtain hooks but much smaller. The holes that were punched in we’re not completely even. Some of them were very close to the edge I hope they don’t tear through. I need to remedy the problem that I have with light keeping me up the curtains are extremely thin they’re not going to block out the light like I had hoped because my situation is urgent I decided to improvise and use them to line some other curtains. I also had to go out and buy shower curtain holders that would fit around the rods on the bed all of that string is completely useless imagine having to tie each and everyone of those. The directions are horrible they give very little example and the pictures are so small you can’t see what they’re doing. Taking them back and trying to find something else is more hassle than trying to figure out how to make them work but I would never buy from this vendor again. ... show more

    • Shoddy Workmanship and Bad Hardware Even if You Get/Can Use It

Didn't receive the support ropes for the canopy that keep it from sagging in the middle which was the actually the final straw to a train of disappointments. The fabric is almost sheer and it was fraying on the edges which were scalloped cuts, to give them credit, were even and straight as they were presumably done by a machine. Unfortunately the shape and design were reminded me of what you see when you just used the crafting scissors and do absolutely nothing else with it. The hardware they give you are cheap 1 diameter inch plastic ringlets. The instructions are basically four low resolution photographs with four more on the back!) taken at a distance so you don't see where anything goes or comes together with barely a sentence of instruction each. And let me explain I had *very* low expectations and was willing to work with this when I bought it. This isn't even a color I liked because the alternatives were pastels or really childish prints and I just wanted something to feel enclosed. This is what I pay for 300 thread count bed sheets from Walmart's in house brand. I expected *at minimum* something vaguely approaching that quality with a much lower thread count for something I'm not even supposed to actively sleep on or put through any serious strain. These are also the plain gray version of the canopy. Basic as basic can be. I was ready to overlook the sheerness, the awful color, the shoddy edging, and was willing to accept the hardware would not work for the squared frame of my rails. I could use the ties to hold the curtains up for until I bought some properly sized hooks, which already meant I'd be spending more money on this 60+ dollar waste of fabric that will take forever to rot next to mountains of fast fashion BS out there after I send this back. What got me to snap was that the ropes they sent me wouldn't be able to span the diagonal of a shoe box, much less a queen sized bed. This meant I literally paid 60 dollars for someone to cut 5 sheets of fabric from a cheap bolt of cloth without finishing the edges and stitching some (again, unfinished) ties at the top of each. Yes, the rope would technically be cheaper to buy than the bloody hardware I was already considering, but I was willing to give them a pass because the design for my bed is weird and atypical. I wanted solid color sheets to block out the light. These are shear and a color I was compromising on. I can't put the top on because the ropes are too small to support it. I have to buy hardware because the ties I'm using to hold up the sheets are designed to tie onto and hold down the top canopy, not be used directly on the frame where they will surely fray and rip. These things will rip and tear if you looked at them funny even if you had the right bed frame for the the flimsy garbage hardware included. The rope was literally the cheapest thing they could have done right. They could have given me just proper lengths of the raw hemp rope you'd use to tie up a rowdy pig and I wouldn't be writing this right now. Hell, the ties could have snapped off because I turned my air conditioner on and I'd have just super glued the sheets to my frame if the top of the canopy worked. That is how inelegant I was willing to be. I was actively thinking of way to make this thing work until I found out about the ropes during set-up, and that was the last straw. TL;DR - Don't buy this. Buy 5 cheap single sheets, some sewing supplies or superglue, as well as some rope. Maybe some hooks if you're fancy and can sew loops. It'll cost slightly more and take some time, but you'll at least get the color you want and the sheets will have finished edges. Even your worst handiwork is better than this. ... show more

These came a couple months ago, but we had to wait for the new bed to arrive and to finish remodeling a few bed rooms in our home to finally install these. They aren't too thin and aren't too thick, they do make it slightly darker around the bed, which is nice when we want to sleep without light distractions. The do NOT feel like curtains, they do feel like cheap polyester bed sheets. NO tags sewn in anywhere, so we are sure we got knockoffs, but what else is new on here? The set came with 4 wide side panels, 1 top cover, 2 short tie backs that don't really match anything, a set of small cheap plastic rings to hang them, which we didn't bother using for hanging the curtains, but we did use them for hanging a set of string lights around the inside perimeter, also in the bag were two pink plastic J clips, not sure what those are for and it did NOT come with any long ropes to tie to the upper bed post corners diagonally to keep the top cover from drooping, so we used a set of string lights to help hold the top up instead. The panels have NO hems along the sides or bottom, only some scalloped cut edge along those three sides! Hope the ends don't get frayed! When we hung the side panels we started in the middle of the headboard, that way each panel wraps around and ends at the middle of each side of the bed, instead of opening at each corner. For us it makes it a bit more convenient. I'll try to included some photos showing how they look with one side closed, One of the foot open looking towards the headboard and some shots showing the inside and how we hung the panels onto the top rails using the wider loops, you can also see the pair of strings that hang where each wide loop is sewn in, don't know what the extra strings are for? and one pic showing the difference between the outside and inside of the set by folding one curtain over and lastly, one shot that shows how long they are. The top just ties to the top rails in random places. Now we need to take it all down to wash and iron it all, we just wanted to see if/how they fit first. Hope that helps!? Good Luck! Happy Holidays! Shows not just the cloth but was standing straight up as if the poles or tubes came with it and you could assemble it. If I had known it would only come with cloth I would have visited a material producing factory and told them to cut it to the same sizes. Complete waste of money, change the picture to just some cloth on the floor cuz thats all your selling it to people as. ... show more
