This set is great! Purchased for our daughter’s birthday. I originally was going to get a different set, but my order was canceled due to out of stock, so I decided one this one instead. Our daughter loves when we listen to rock music and has taken an interest in drums, so we really like that she can grow with this. Plus my husband and I will have fun playing the drums with her. The directions are not completely clear and can be more difficult when you have a toddler trying to help you install and pieces are missing, lol. The color we purchased was silver and it looks good. We are happy with the price option that was for this color compared to the others that were $50 or more. Everything was packaged well and looks great once all put together. Stool is comfortable and easy to adjust. Everything seems very durable and can handle our toddler playing with it.

Assembly was a bit confusing but once assembled the kids are loving it and making plenty of "music" my neighbors are thrilled with the amount of sounds and volume this drum set can produce. It has stood up to quite a beating already. Perfect size for children from 2 years up to preteens seem to enjoy using it. The included stool seat can support a 250 pound man, I've tested it for you. Over all good quality and value for the money. This kit is not for professionals playing an arena but is great for the kids to learn music.

My wife ordered this drum set for our son’s birthday and it arrived quickly with no issues. I like the product, but the description states that 40 free lessons are included. It says “see the insert for instructions” on how to access the lessons. There was nothing in the package that mentioned free lessons, and I haven’t received a response after emailing about it last week. That said, we are pleased with the actual product. The drum set itself seems to be good quality and came with clear assembly instructions. The foot pedal for the base drum is a little finicky so we may end up replacing it.

This was one of the best purchases I ever made for my boys. First off, this is a real drum kit, it is not a toy. It is just a scaled down version... and it looks and sounds amazing. The quality is very good - the wood, hardware and tools are excellent considering the price. It helps to have an understanding of how drum kits go together - as this requires full assembly. This includes placing and tuning the heads, setting up the hardware, etc. As with just about any new kit, the heads do ring some - so I recommend picking up some damping pads - we used Moongel Percussion Damping Gels, which you can pick up at just about any music store (or on Amazon for about $6). The snare is adjustable, and the kit comes with a tuning key for the other heads. I can play these as an adult (ok.. my knees are a bit cramped), and they still sound great.... and they are perfect size for my 9 year old. I compared these to a $399 starter kit at Guitar Center, and this kit is better made and sounds better. It does need another cymbal, though, as it has only one splash. I spent a few bucks on another cymbal and some new sticks (the sticks that come with this are 'junior' sized, and my kid has big hands). Because of the quality, it can really take a beating, too... very sturdy.. even at the hands of an overly aggressive 9 or 15 year old. This is a great kit for any young aspiring drummer... or anyone who just likes to bang on things!

First off - you need to temper your expectations with this kit. Keep the price in mind and be comfortable with the idea that this is going to be a whacking set. I got this for my youngest’s 5th birthday after he showed interest in my electric kit. This set is a great entry level kit. Just the right size and, surprisingly, well put together. The construction is solid and this kit does sound good despite the price. Having said that, I’ve played for over 30 years and I’m familiar with set up and tuning. I mention this only because, for me, putting the kit together was a breeze. Keep in mind that the snare beads are inside the drum and not outside like a majority of snare drums. You need to adjust the tension on the side for more/less snare sound. Also, the cymbals are cheap (junk may be a more accurate description) but this is also how I assume the manufacturer keeps the cost down. I would also mention that the pin designed to keep the hi-hat pedal in place didn’t fit. Easily solved with a trip to the hardware store for a thin bolt though. All in all, this is a kit that can grow with your child or something you won’t regret buying if they lose interest. If you aren’t familiar with drums and their set up or how to adjust them, always go to YouTube where you can find literally 1000’s of videos on the subject.
