Great ski pants for my son! They fit perfectly, not too tight or too loose, providing enough room for movement without being bulky or getting in the way while skiing. The extra fabric around the knees is a thoughtful touch, adding durability and flexibility. The pockets and storage are well-designed and super practical. For insulated Bibs these are really, really thin and more like a shell as opposed to an insulating garment. As for ripstop, its been a long time since I've owned ripstop and this fabric doesn't have the waffle weave pattern original ripstop had so I'm not so sure it is capable of ripstop. The biggest disappointment is that the size chart is not even close to being accurate. I have a 38 inch waist which the chart said was size small. Since I knew I'd be layering I ordered a large (chart waist 44). NOT EVEN CLOSE. Size large does not even fit a 38-inch waist, I could not even get the bibs past my hips without any layers on. On the up side, they do fit my wife so at least now she has some winter bibs.

I'm a larger guy, so I purchased an XXL. I was initially a little nervous since I was ordering online, but when I got the snow pants, they fit great. They were super soft and kept me warm for a 12-hour ski trip up in PA. Color options were great too, since sometimes when ordering larger sizes they only make them in one color, but not here. Pockets were plenty and spacious too. Only complaint is that the outside is so smooth that when I fell in the snow, I continued to slide down the hill!
