They are of course sheer, the straps are quite thin and not super stretchy. I got my usual size and they fit OK but pay attention to the photos - the pouch is not huge in terms of depth but it is sort of long and sits therefore higher in the front than many thong and other similar styles which seem to be a lower rise. So this is my second purchase of these thongs. I bought one to "test" it out and LOVED the teardrop pouch so much that I reordered a pack of three!! They are SO comfortable that I have been finding myself actually wearing them all day (except when I know I'll be walking a lot or working outside in the heat due to chafing concerns). I just love the teardrop pouch!! It really cradles the boys nicely. The teardrop shape is unique in the fact that your unit can be positioned in the normal down position OR pointing up like only a true “banana hammock” can do.
