Wow! I’m very surprised how well this jacket is made. The material, the phenomenal design, the strong stitching, of how this jacket is made is impressively semetrical, well balanced, and beautifully constructed with love. The large strong zipper easily zips back and forth smoothly, and perfectly matched the thick leather. This black jacket has 2 inside pockets which I needed the most. There are also 4 pockets at the front. There is a zipper at the back for ventilation. This jacket is slightly heavy. I’m 5’7”, 170 lbs, athletic build, and I wear a medium and the shoulder fits perfectly while wearing only a t-shirt and the arms length also fit perfectly. I might take out the quilted liner if I have to wear my thicker fleece shirt. Im very happy that I found this affordable awesome biker jacket. I am blown away at the quality of this jacket. The workmanship, quality of the real leather, style and fit are all well beyond my expectations at this price point. I have spent close to $500 on other leather bike jackets and this one is at least as good if not better than more expensive jackets. The style is exactly what I wanted with no branding and a minimalist european style. However, this jacket would work well with the sport bike crowd or cruiser crowd. It really fits in anywhere on two wheels. Zippers and buttons are high quality and the pockets, of which there are many, have sturdy linersIn addition this jacket has many motorcycle specific features that get omitted on other jackets at this price point. For example it has CE rated armor in the back, elbows and shoulders, a variety of venting zippers to maintain comfortable temperature and adjustable straps when you need more room after layering for cold weather. Like most jackets of this type there is a removeble "thermal" liner. These liners are useless in my opinion, they make little difference to the warmth of the jacket. And besides you buy leather for motorcycling for protection and minimizing wind/rain intrusion. If you regularly ride in very cold temperatures you will want to opt for something built for that environment. No leather jacket by itself will allow you to ride comfortably in temps under 40 degrees in my view. I put some leather conditioner on it and water repellant as I do with all my leather and it only improved the look and suppleness of the material. Honestly, I cannot say enough good things about this jacket. I cannot find a single negative aspect about it and am very satisfied that I found it and made the purchase. ... show more

I’m usually between a Large and XL but I’m a 3x in this jacket. It has ample room in the chest and shoulders for me despite being a bit large around the belly but not uncomfortably so. Quality appears to be nice especially for the cost. It wasn’t extremely stiff like other leather jackets I’ve tried. Overall I’m very pleased for the price point. Only thing that surprised me is that it only fit a size Small back protector which seems odd for a 3x jacket, but whatever. ... show more

Very kind and respectful in customer service. I ordered a leather jacket for my eldest grandson. It came in and he loved it. Unfortunately, we had ordered just a little too small. Zack, at Born to Race helped me with the exchange process. Got it taken care of within minutes. He was very patient with me and answered questions in a way that gave me additional comfort, knowing I bought the right jacket from the right company. A company thats standards are unheard of in this day and age, as they actually stood behind their product (knowing that quality and workmanship are excellent) and at the same time not losing site of me, the customer. This jacket is made very well. The leather was thick, but not overly stiff and the tanning is done well. I really feels substantial. I also like the styling, which is a primary reason i ordered it. Unfortunately, the fit didn't work for me. I am 5'10 and 165lbs with an athletic build and I found it too broad in the shoulders and biceps, too short at the waist and the arms a bit too long. This is a bummer as I really like the styling and the thick quality leather would probably be very helpful while riding on cooler mornings and days. ... show more

Losing 150 pounds in three years I had to change my writing jacket so I bought this. I think I paid around $79 for it. Well worth the value it fit perfect it’s not lightweight. It’s got some substantial weight about it but it is comfortable wearing. It is soft, zipper quality not quite sure how to explain the zipper quality but it’s heavy duty, but it looks old best way I can explain it not old in decrypted just doesn’t look bright and shiny new. ... show more

Love this coat!! Owned it for 6 months now. Impressive quality for the price!! It is getting more comfortable the more broken in the leather get. I find this to perfect for 75 degrees and under. I wore it with 40 degree temps while raining and didn't feel any wind or water. Zero. Breast pockets open up for a little ventilation on warmer days. The sizing (Medium 5'9 155) was spot on for me but I can see why people say it runs small. With that being said, it does sit right around the waistline/top of the pants.
