I had the same Marks & Spencer dressing gown (bathrobe) for over 30 years, and it eventually wore out. My wife wanted to get me one for Christmas, but couldn't find a cotton one anywhere. She bought me a polyester robe, that although it fit well, felt clammy and I got terrible static around the house. I tried three other robes, two of which stated they were at least a cotton mix, but sent them all back. I came across this one from Bowns of London, and thought that the price was a little silly, but I'd given up hope finding a note affordable one. The robe is marvelous, fits perfectly, made incredibly well, and feels exactly right, with no static. It is absolutely worth it - here's to another 30 years!

I’ve had one of these for 5 years and it is one of the nicest articles of clothing I have ever owned. Heavy fabric, solid stitching and elegant design. The fabric is like a thick towel and absorbent. Worth every penny.

I must say that my recent purchase of The Marchand by Bown of London far surpassed all my expectations. The exceptional craftsmanship was immediately apparent upon first donning the Men's Dressing Gown. Indeed, every morning I look forward to the warmth and comfort it provides. I normally wear a 2XL shirt. 5’10. Bought the 4xl and the arms are so long that the tips of my fingers don’t come out the end and the body length of it does down just above my ankles. Incredibly cozy. Listing claims this comes with stylish packaging but that is not true. Just a plastic bag. You will need to buy your own gift wrap and such. I would dock a star if I cared enough about that
