MelodySusie nail dust collector is a game-changer for me as a nail technician. Unlike other brands, it offers two strength options, ensuring I can choose between a powerful mode for busy days or a quieter option for those more relaxed movie watching appointments with your clients. It effectively collects almost all the dust, and the replacement filters are affordable and swiftly delivered. Careful not to rinse the filter like I did in the beginning. It is made of cardboard. But do dust it off at the end of the day to preserve its great quality. I've been so impressed with this equipment that I decided to become an Amazon Associate to share it with others. Though I wish it were acetone-resistant, its efficiency and lung protection make it a top-notch investment. Purchased this in Dec 23. It worked well while it lasted. It recently shut off on me about 3days ago and has came back on since. I did get a good yr use out of the product. However, considering the fact it wasn't used everyday and no more than 3x a week. I feel like it should have lasted longer than a year. So, can't say I'll purchase this one again. Wasn't a spectacular performance to risk another buy to only get another possible year of usage.

I am a newbie to DIY dip powder nails. Needless to say, things have gotten a little messy. Not to mention, I also suffer from dip flu. To help alleviate this issue, I bought the Melody Susie Dust Collector. And I am happy I did. It captures much (though not all) of the nail dust as I file my nails. As such, I am not breathing as much of it in. Moreover, my desk is somewhat cleaner with the dust collector. It has two power settings - Lo and Hi. I usually use it on the highest setting. The control buttons are soft touch and located in an area that is easily accessible. I find myself accidentally turning off poor changing the speed setting. Therefore, I position the control panel away from me to stop that from happening. The dust collector sounds like what you would expect. It is not overly loud. but not whisper quiet either. The power is more than adequate for the job. At first, I didn't think so. But, I tried the paper towel test. Lay a paper towel over the dust and the paper towel should instantly stick to the nail dust collector, as the suction of the fan pulls at anything near it. Cleaning the filter is easy. I shake it out over the garbage can and/or use a blow dryer on low/no heat to remove as much dust as possible before putting it back ino the machine. Melody Susie instructions suggest to change the filter every 2-3 months. But, as I am a DIYer who only uses it 2-3 times per month, I will only change every 6-8 months. Overall, I am enjoying this dust collector.

I replace an older model that did not have the locking feature for drill bits. This one is amazing in locking drill bits in place, especially when trying to get into the corner of the nail bed. The fan part can get loud so be prepared to turn up your television or put on headphones when using its multi-power fan levels, which is a nice feature. It left very little dust clean up and the filter is easy to clean. I just used my mini vac to remove the dust and also bought a replacement filter since it is washable. Everyone opinion is different and i know reviews help make final buy decisions on product , like they do for me, but this product is worth the price considering it has to different functions for the overall use. Pictures are pretty accurate the video helps you see how big it is as well.
