I am really happy with this purchase. I didn't use the rings that come with it, and I didn't care a whole lot about making it look perfect. That said, if you want it to look more cohesive, you certainly can with the rings. I bought this for my son's room - he's got weird angles and a weird window that gets way too much sun. As you can see, the blue curtains provide barely any black out. We're in CA, and are in the middle of a heat wave, so I just couldn't stand it. Ordered them yesterday, got them today, and they're up! The fabric isn't crazy thick, although I will add the middle support to the bar. The room will stay so much cooler. I can't believe I've been so lazy as to not do this years ago! This is a beautiful panel. We recently moved our tv to where the sun glare made it impossible to view the screen. The light filtering cellular shades and unlined curtain panels already in place we’re doing nothing to cut the sun pouring in through the windows. I spent 2-3 days searching online and local stores, (jcp, bed bath & beyond, etc.) to find curtains that were the right size, feel, price, and had positive reviews. This product checked every box. If I was going to spend a fortune on liners, I’d be better off just purchasing new curtains all together! - They shipped immediately. I received them a day earlier than expected. - Each package has 1 panel. I bought a qty of 3. - There is NO ODOR. - The panels are NOT STIFF, NOT VINYL, and DO NOT HAVE A PLASTIC FEEL. They have a nice satin-like feel and weight. - They had creases like any other product does upon opening but they were easy to press and creases came out quickly. (I would recommend starting at a low setting, and then gradually turn the iron heat up until steam and heat quickly release creases without singeing the fabric. Basically, just treat it like a fine satin material). - I received panels that were a light silver color. - They are the same color on both sides. - For me, they are blocking out the light. I saw other reviews that said they didn’t do that. Looking at other people’s photos, it looks like they do block the light. Everyone has different opinions, right? My existing curtains are “back tab” curtains, so I used the enclosed rings to hang the lining panels onto the existing single rod. I didn’t need to buy any additional rings or clips. I used a couple of common pins on each edge to make sure liners were lined up with the existing curtain. These are perfect and I highly recommend! ... show more

This is just what I was looking for....I had purchased some lovely velvet drapes but they weren't heavy enough to block the light. These lined them beautifully and I know they will retain heat in winter and A/C in the summer. The only downside is the rings are a little cheap and hard to open/close - but they still work so I recommend this product. ... show more

There are two windows in the bedroom that recently got new blinds (light filtering type) installed. There are two sets of curtains in use over these windows: a pair of sheers on the inner layer (rod one) and a pair of room darkening curtains on the outer layer (rod two). While the room darkening curtains work, there's still some light that comes in that makes sleeping difficult; even at night. I purchased the first as a test and just placed it over one of the window's sheers to see how much light it blocked. It blocked a lot of light and when paired with the room darkening curtains it blocked even more. So I purchased another one for the other window and the difference is astounding. No lights from the street lamps and no light from the sun. As an added bonus, it blocks some of the sun's heat which helps keep the room cool. I haven't gotten around to properly installing them, yet current application is getting the job done. Added Notes: Windows are 35-inches wide and 63-inchs long. The outer curtains are installed10-inches above the window frames. I have pocket rod curtains and the outer curtains are 84-inches long. The outer curtains are 3-inches from the floor. The darkening panels (which aren't hanging at full length right now) when draped over the sheers, land at 81-inches (6-inches from the floor). This liner feels soft, thick, good quality, and heavy. I intermingled the liner with my panel and it lined up with my back tab curtains. I just had to place 2 of the rings in between the same tabs so the liner would line up with the panel. It is not total blackout more of a room darkener. I purchased this item to keep the heat out since my windows are the originals and thin and to darken the room a little bit. I get full sun during the heat of the day so I am hoping it will keep the heat out. The color is not white more grayish, but it doesn't matter because it is behind the curtains and I have white blinds in the window. The retailer should change the color description because to some people it may make a difference. Luckily one extra ring is provided because one of the rings broke, they feel kind of cheap. Since the liner is heavy I am hoping the rings will hold up. These liners are sold individually so I only purchased two liners because the liners don't need to be gathered since it can't be seen. My window is 70" wide, but the hardware for the curtain rod were installed 4" from the window frame on both sides and fits perfectly. I am happy with my purchase and I would purchase again since it is inexpensive and good quality. ... show more
