  • One of our favorites
My children have used the melissa and Doug wooden toys for years. They love them but i do have to replace them over time because my 1-2 year olds will suck the picture off that is glued to the wood. I always rebuy because they play with these often.

  • Nice for teaching emotions
I had bought this as a gift for a little girl, but never gave it and ended up keeping it for my son. He's not into it, though. But sometimes I pull it out and we go through the emotions. I will ask him to make a sad bear and he will, though a couple of the emotions are hard to tell. I think he doesn't like that it's a girl and not a boy with professional (fireman, doctor, etc) attire. They should make a boy one...not sure if they do. I know they have one with a family... I can see a little girl liking this toy a lot. ... show more

  • It Was a Hit
I got this for christmas for my (almost) 2 year old daughter. She Loves it! The pieces are a little bit of a challenge for her so she really concentrates to get them in place, which I think is good for her. Also while she is picking the pieces I name off the feelings that are being shown and what type of clothes they are etc. (ie. she is wearing a pink dress. this face is sad. etc. etc.) She picks this puzzle off the shelf to play with more often than I thought she would. I count it as a hit! ... show more

  • Could be more gender inclusive.
Nice little bears that could be used to teach emotions. The pieces are high quality and fit in easily. The box to keep everything in is great too.

  • Spectacular Toy!
My daughter had used with occasionally for occupational therapy. she loved it so much that I had to buy her one of her own. Now that we own it, it is one of her favorite toys. She is 2 and she loves the colors. It is a great puzzle for teaching emotions because of the happy, sad, mad, sick faces which is great for her because she is also on the autism spectrum. The toy is durable and will last a long time :) One of the best investments I have made in toys :) ... show more

  • Kids love this
Bought this as a church quite toy for my kids. They love it. It’s worked well to teach my youngest how to do puzzles and both love changing the beard facial expression. One bad thing is the lid doesn’t stay on so I have to back it in a baggie in order to keep it all together while traveling.

  • One of my daughter's first puzzles
It's a Melissa & Doug, what can I say? This was one of my daughter's first puzzles. We got it for her for Christmas when she was a month shy of turning 2. She could do it with ease and we have had a lot of fun. The box is a little cheaply made, but my daughter is 3 now and everything is still in great shape. I did not experience any of the issues the other reviewers have mentioned. ... show more

  • All girl bears
We bought this toy to help teach my 3 year old son about emotion words (as well as to occupy time in restaurants while we wait for food to arrive). Well, it does a great job at both of those, but I have one small complaint. All the bears are girls! Complete with bows in hair, and pearl necklaces. I wish they either made a boy version, or made the bears half and half. Do they think only girls like to play with this toy? ... show more
