My wife thought I was kidding when she saw this item in the cart. And I'm like, no! This is going to be amazing. A few days later I surprise my 3 and 5 year old with this and it's their new best friend. It goes everywhere they go. They can sleep with it (it's long enough that one has the head and the other the tail) it comes on all adventures. It's soft and even with rough play it has stood up to my toddlers. And way longer than you think, it's great. You can curl it up into a relatively small area for storage, but it's usually out and about. I really love this toy and my wife told me a few months later that she's surprised and how great of a toy it ended up being. She's always thought of a toy as something structure with a purpose, but I find that toddlers use their imagination, so if you give them something that has no purpose (and is safe) they have a lot more fun with it. I can see us using this toy for many years. If it ever loses it excitement, Ill put it away for a couple months and bring it back as a surprise to get them excited about it again. I purchased this as a semi-gag gift for my 17 year old daughter to replace the small snake stuffed animal she had as a 3 year old. The quality is great, and the size is amazing. 14ft is an accurate measure. It is nice and soft, making it easy to bunch up and use as a pillow.

My son has been shopping for the perfect stuffed snake. We’ve shopped in stores and ordered a few to check out. This Melissa and Doug Giant Boa Constrictor is definitely one of the better ones. It’s definitely the longest we’ve found. As far as it being realistic, I think the head is a little large for the body. The snake is smooth fabric. Stitching seems to be good and in line with other Melissa and Doug products. My only complaints are these: 1) We have other Melissa and Doug jumbo animals that cost a similar price (we paid 44.99 for this) and I think the cost should be lower for the snake. 2) I think it could be stuffed more firmly. It’s definitely still stuffed well compared to some of the off brand snakes we looked at. I would call this one soft and squishy but stuffed enough that it’s not floppy. ... show more
