My wife thought I was kidding when she saw this item in the cart. And I'm like, no! This is going to be amazing. A few days later I surprise my 3 and 5 year old with this and it's their new best friend. It goes everywhere they go. They can sleep with it (it's long enough that one has the head and the other the tail) it comes on all adventures. It's soft and even with rough play it has stood up to my toddlers. And way longer than you think, it's great. You can curl it up into a relatively small area for storage, but it's usually out and about. I really love this toy and my wife told me a few months later that she's surprised and how great of a toy it ended up being. She's always thought of a toy as something structure with a purpose, but I find that toddlers use their imagination, so if you give them something that has no purpose (and is safe) they have a lot more fun with it. I can see us using this toy for many years. If it ever loses it excitement, Ill put it away for a couple months and bring it back as a surprise to get them excited about it again. I got this as a Christmas gift for my five-year-old nephew (in addition to other toys). He loved it. He immediately stopped playing with his other toys and became fascinated with this toy snake. His twin sister wanted in on the snake as well, and started bugging him for it (you can see the way she weaponized it in one of the attached images lol). I'm actually surprised by how much both of these five year olds loved this toy snake. Its size is certainly a factor. I recommend this for young children. ... show more

My son has been shopping for the perfect stuffed snake. We’ve shopped in stores and ordered a few to check out. This Melissa and Doug Giant Boa Constrictor is definitely one of the better ones. It’s definitely the longest we’ve found. As far as it being realistic, I think the head is a little large for the body. The snake is smooth fabric. Stitching seems to be good and in line with other Melissa and Doug products. My only complaints are these: 1) We have other Melissa and Doug jumbo animals that cost a similar price (we paid 44.99 for this) and I think the cost should be lower for the snake. 2) I think it could be stuffed more firmly. It’s definitely still stuffed well compared to some of the off brand snakes we looked at. I would call this one soft and squishy but stuffed enough that it’s not floppy. ... show more

My 2 year granddaughter love this 10 foot long boa constrictor. She will coil it around herself and sometimes has fallen asleep with it. I was quite surprised by her since I thought it might frighten her. The snake is well designed, soft, plush, and colorful. It is fa fun addition and brings a smile to my granddaughter’s face. My older granddaughter has not seen it yet and I am curious as how she will like it. The snake is definitely worth the price. ... show more

Is very long! Good Quality. It stays with the curve that you see in the picture so if you want to use it straight, this won't work. Is soft and detailed. Bought for my 5 years old son who loves animals.
