I just wasn't sure what to get my ten year old grandson for his birthday. He loves video games like most boys his age, and outside games with his friends. We watched a video with kids playing with puppets one time and he seemed intrigued. .. so that planted the idea in my head. Then I had to decide which puppet. I am SO happy I got this one. Making the puppet work is easy for him. Having the added feature of the stick is great! "Chef" can point, wipe his brow, suck his thumb, give a thumbs up or thumbs down. "Chef" also tells jokes, and can say things that my grandson would never say aloud! It was his favorite thing he got for his birthday. He has been playing with it non-stop ever since he opened the package. Some of the grownups also got a turn getting to know "Chef" - that guy has quite a personality! My 9 yr old daughter loves it! Seems like good quality and compared to some of the other prices I've seen, this one was the cheapest but the quality doesn't waiver though. I would recommend this puppet. It would make a great beginner ventriloquist puppet to learn with!
