Love the paints❤, although I wish the white was more opaque. I have to go over it a couple of times to get it where I want to be. I have used it for so many looks. I had to repurchase this after I almost ran out of the whites in my Paradise Paints Palette. I'll will always be using these paints. The colors are so vibrant, easy to blend, great to mix with, I just wish they lasted longer & were waterproof. When I went out for Halloween most of my paints came off unfortunately.😔 So if you sweat or get wet, expect for it to come off/transfer. I bought black, white and gray in this product to create my daughter’s Halloween zombie look. I read a lot of reviews before buying and most were positive so I chose this product, and it did not disappoint. I have never attempted a Halloween face before, let alone a zombie look so I am a total novice and I was able to easily use this product to create this look as seen in the photos. It’s very easy to apply (just add a little water to it) and there’s quite a bit in each container. There’s so much that my husband and I are going to also go with the zombie look this year so it doesn’t go to waste (and even then I think there will still be a lot left over). Apply with a makeup brush for best results. I found that using my fingers created an uneven look. I’m not sure about removal yet because I haven’t tried to remove it, but she’s been wearing the makeup for most of the day and it has stayed in place for the most part aside from fading just a bit on her lips from eating and drinking. I used red lip gloss for the red “scratch marks”. Overall I’m very happy with this product and would like to purchase more colors to experiment with for other looks! ... show more

So first things first, the quality of this product compared to chain retail store brands is light years ahead. They suggest so wet a sponge and then use that to work the makeup into cream. That did not work at all for me. I simply placed the makeup under a light very light steam of water and used a makeup brush to apply. To get it even I did have to go over my face a few times to get it a very bright white. That being said I hardly used any product. It did crack a bit but not severely like other paints tend to do. I imagine had a set with with a setting powder it wouldn’t have done so. The paint is pretty breathable, I didn’t have any irritation after and makeup remover wipes easily removed all the paint. Just FYI, the black is eyeshadow and eyeliner. I regret not also purchasing the black as well. ... show more

    • Works fine, but is difficult to apply!

I purchased this to use for a costume at a convention because it had Prime, and the liquid Kryolan paint that I ordered was not going to arrive in time. This stuff is tricky to apply evenly, but it does work okay for smaller areas. I used it on my face, shoulders, and arms, and while I had no troubles with it on my face, it was very difficult to get an even coat on my arms and shoulders, even with multiple coats. The consistency can be adjusted with the amount of water used--I found that a paste-like consistency worked the best. An open-pored sponge or brush worked much better than a dense makeup sponge, though you still need several coats to avoid streaks or patches. It is also very translucent with only one coat, so even if you were successful in getting an even coat the first time, you would still need one or two more to get a true white skin. It took close to 2.5 hours to get the effect that I wanted. I was fairly satisfied with the end result, but I would not recommend it for covering larger areas than the face and neck. In the end, I would probably not use it again because liquid is much easier for me to use, but if you are doing a basic costume or want to use it for regular face painting, then it will likely serve you very well. ... show more

For Halloween this year I decided to do a female version of Ghost Rider. I was a bit panicked about the face paint because I have extremely sensitive skin. A face painter I know suggested Mehron paradise makeup so I purchased the black and white. I also purchased a set of paintbrushes, disposable makeup sponges and NYX setting spray. I practiced twice before the party, which worked out great. The first time, the makeup didn’t bother my skin except for when I tried to take it off. The rubbing caused my skin to sting for the rest of the day. Someone suggested using coconut oil so I did that the next time and had no issues with irritating my skin. The coverage is great but with white especially just be patient and carefully layer it. This was the first time I’ve ever done face paint and as you see from the photo, it came out great. Took about an hour to apply, then used the setting spray. It stayed put the entire time we were at the party - 5 hours of dancing and eating. I did use a straw for drinking so I wouldn’t mess up the makeup on my lips. Overall I was incredibly happy with this purchase and feel it was 100% worth it to spend a little more and get something that wouldn’t irritate my skin. Highly recommended! ... show more

Smells good. Applied with a natural sea sponge instead of a cosmetic sponge. They work better and hold the moisture better and use less of the product. I had to wear it for a long period of time. It started wearing off about 4 hours in, but only in areas where there was rubbing (some on face around nose and mouth and in between my boobs). Was able to airbrush over it just fine too. Recommended. Note: in the pictures, it was applied only to my upper arms, chest and face (i used white panty hose for legs), also we applied it very thin and added a light green airbrush over it to make a pale green look. This can be pure white if needed. This was for a tv show. I'm the only plus size model in a modeling competition reality show. It's called Local Ambition: season 4.
